Any advice about avoiding constipation in a preemie who is receiving formula. Any home remedies/md advice?

Baby seems to be struggling to poop. How long can he go without pooping before we should worry. What are signs to look at for and how can we avoid the situation all together? ThanksAny advice about avoiding constipation in a preemie who is receiving formula. Any home remedies/md advice?
when my daughter was born she had the same problem, i had to switch her to the soy formula, her doctor said she was to young for prunes or prune juice, so we had to use a suppository.being an infant she should poop at least 2 times a dayif it goes longer then 2 days and a supposiyory isnt helping i would set up a doctor apptAny advice about avoiding constipation in a preemie who is receiving formula. Any home remedies/md advice?
I am a mother of 7 and I consider myself kind of an expert. I would be concerned after about 24 hrs as long asa the baby is eating well. Feel the abdomen and if it feels hard or is petruding slightly then is probably constipated. It is ok to give a newborn even a preemie up to 4 ounces of water a day even though some doctors will tell you when the baby is eating they should only be consuming calories. Although the water will help.
i breastfed my preemie.. she needed all the help she could get (as do all preemies... have you considered trying to relactate?). i do know that they strongly suggest that you don't switch to soy without your dr's advice, especially when dealing with a preemie. my pediatrician recommended karo syrup, about 1/2 a teaspoon in 2-3oz bottle of expressed breast milk to help my preemie being able to void.
My sons a preemie also, I was told it was ok not to have bowel movements for up to 7 days as long as he was still passing gas.

I use Enfamil Gentlease formula as my son was having a hard time with bowel movements. He seemed to be in a lot of pain while on just regular Enfamil Lipil. After i changed to Enfamil Gentlease he seemed like he wasn't in pain anymore :)
I heard that switching to a soy formula would help. Its easier to digest then the stuff that has the cows stuff in it....and i suppose just watch for fussiness. My doctor told me that if he (my babe) was crying during or right after a feeding that that generally means hes having some kind of tummy issue. but they also told me that babies can get reflux right now and deal with alotta gas issues on formula. so watch for that stuff too?
i agree, breast milk does help, and 4 oz of water wouldn't hurt either. my niece had the same problem, and when they took her to the e.r, all they did was give her some water and wait for her to poop. babies are to have at least 7 dirty diapers a day, so after 24 hours and still no poop, i think you should see a doctor

Where can I get reliable Spiritual advice about adoption and selling my house?

makes sense, because selling a house is just another deal, like buying a baby.

WHAAAAAT????Where can I get reliable Spiritual advice about adoption and selling my house?
I have a better explanation for the phenomenon of ';spiritual'; advice, it's called guessing, lying, and manipulation. A stranger who pretends to have contact with the supernatural will have nothing else to offer you. The only advice you need is thoughtful reflection, careful study of the facts, weighing one's options honestly and realistically, and open communication with your living loved ones, yourself, and whatever agencies or individuals you are thinking of doing business with.Where can I get reliable Spiritual advice about adoption and selling my house?
You should speak to a cleric of your religion (priest, rabbi, imam, etc.)

It's almost impossible to give spiritual advice to someone who doesn't share your beliefs. I suggest talking to your religious leaders about spiritual matters.
Well, I'm pretty sure not here!

I would suggest speaking with a leader (professional or otherwise) you trust in your spiritual community. Don't have a spiritual community? Then I'd suggest finding one.
Go to your pastor or minister. If you do not have one go to a church. you really should begin attending services regularly it will change your life
I suppose it depends what religion you are, but I think most God's are a bit busy to deal with the selling of houses?

17 year old in need of advice about weight control?

i am 17, and i am 207 lbs. i am on weight watchers right now but its hard because i have a depression disorder that messes with my appetite. I eat when i am bored, and overly upset.

i need advice on how to feel full without eating foods that will keep me the weight i am .17 year old in need of advice about weight control?
drink lots of water whenever you feel sad or craving something chug a glass or water or enough until you feel satisfied

also chew gun all the time keeps your mind off food and you can choose flavors as long as its like 5 calorie or less sticks...one piece can last all day believe me

exercise everyday and eat fiber rich veggies

and lastly drink black coffee its great warms you up, gives you energy, and burns calories as long as its caffeinated without sugar or milk added

hope these help you17 year old in need of advice about weight control?
No, you need to fight boredom and depression. Being full does not stop mindless eating. If you must eat, eat veggies and fruit. But it would be better to go for a walk, play with the dog, work in the yard, build a treehouse - anything to keep your hands occupied. Regular exercise will help you feel better, sleep better, and stay occupied.

I've done WW, all the food advice is there. Go back and reread your pamphlets, and pay attention this time. You may need to see your psychologist, too - your response to meds will change as you get older, change your eating habits, exercise, etc.

I know depression can seem overwhelming. But do you want to spend the rest of your life dependent on meds? Take control now, learn to drag yourself off the couch when you absolutely don't want to - you have to fight to take your life back. You're halfway there just asking for help, now comes the hard part - actually changing yourself.

Good Luck!

Eat plenty of fruits :)

I need advice about adding stones to jewelry?

Is there a way of knotting a stone into a hemp necklace rather than using regular beads. I have a few small polished stones that I received and want to use but I'm not sure if I will need to drill a hole in them or if there is a way of securing the stone by using a series of knots.I need advice about adding stones to jewelry?
Maybe you could hot glue them there.

Will someone help me with two this about cooking advice. All advice. Thanks?

How can I defrost chicken breast quickly. And it's my first time to make a turkey for thanks giveing. Can someone explain what I need and how. In a simple way I can understand. Thanks. Will someone help me with two this about cooking advice. All advice. Thanks?
First the Chicken: Fill a bowl full of HOT water and put the package of chicken in the water...you can also try the defrost on the microwave, but sometimes it kinda cooks the edges.

Second-the Turkey: Depending on the size of your Turkey and if you are going to stuff it or not, you need to determine when you want to eat. Here is the simple cooking instructions---- I usually cook a 15-18 lbs.Turkey and I get up around 5:00am and put it in the oven. Most of your Turkey's have cleaning and cooking instructions on the packaging. Follow the instructions....Then after you clean your Turkey, melt a stick of butter and coat your Turkey well and salt and pepper the outside. Cover tightly with tin foil and put into a 325 degree oven and let the oven do the rest. Check around 3 hours later and start basting it with the juices that are in the pan. Then you can baste every hour and a half till done. On the last half hour of cooking, remove the foil from Turkey except leave foil on the tips of the wings (they tend to cook/brown too fast) and let your Turkey get golden brown. Remove, baste last time and let Turkey cool at least 15-20 minutes before you remove stuffing and start to carve. Enjoy!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING :-)Will someone help me with two this about cooking advice. All advice. Thanks?
Putting it in HOT water is a big No No. Get a food safety guide. That puts it in the danger zone temp. wise

Place your chicken zip lock bag and let it thaw in a large bowl of room temp water. Change the water frequently and it will quicken the thawing time.

In regards to the turkey, go to Butterball's web site. There is a ton of info. They also have an 800 number for support.
You posted this question twice and I answered the first one initally but since it seems there are most responses here I'll copy n paste here in case the other post was an error:

Well from what I've learnt the best (healthiest) way to defrost meats are to place them in the fridge overnight, but since you said quickly I'm assuming you are in a pinch and need the frozen meat to cook ASAP. There are two methods I usually use..choose the one you prefer:

    1) Cold Water Thawing

The meat has to be a leak-proof package or container else the meat tissue will absorb the water as it thaws. Fill a bowl with cold tap water (don't use warm water as it can encourage bacteria growth) and submerge the package of meat, changing the water every 30 minutes so it continues to thaw. Generally speaking, small packages of meat like say 1 pound will partially thawed in about 15 minutes, or completely defrosted in 45 mins to 1 hr. give or take.

    2) Microwave Thawing

Of course this is kinda touch and go in terms of thawing time cause of the differences in microwave but the meat should be put on a plate and loosely wrapped with plastic wrap (not the store packaging that the meat came in). Use the defrost setting if your microwave has one, or if not, just monitor the meat as it thaws to prevent cooking meat before it is thoroughly thawed. What I normally do is put it on for a few mins like 3 and then take it out and test it with freshly washed hands to see how defrosted it is and then adjust the remaining time from there.

What do you want to know in particular about cooking the turkey? Do you want to know how to cook it from beginning like right out the package to end on your table with stuffing etc?

    Hope this helps!
Put it in a pan and put it in the sink with a slow stream of running water on it, cold water. I would tell you to use the micro but that tends to make them rubbery and starts to cook them a little. A chicken breast should not take that long to thaw.
Abt turkey after u follow the instructions of cleaning the turkey acc to instructions .buy back bacon abt a kg. gently seperate the skin from the fleshof the turkey layer strips of the bacon until all of the turkey i is well lined with the bacon. Now in the inner and outer side smear and marinade the entire bird with ginger garlic paste and sourlime juice and just a dribble of hot chilli sauce. let it marinade for 5 to 6 hours. If u feel like filling the guzzle and tummy. then you can try this filling. take a kg of onions and mince finely to this add atsp of ginger garlic paste. fry all well take half kg of liver dice into very small cubes. add to the fry mixture . take half a kg of potatoes peel and dice into small cubes add to the filling take half kg of green peas add to the filling take half kg of tomatoes and add to the filling let all this fry in 2 tablespoon of butter till well cooked. in a seperate frying pan take 300gms of brown raisins and fry well remove from fire add to filling, take 500 gms of almonds blanched them and sliver them into halves. fry them light brown. add all to filling. Now stuff the turkey. and sew up the opening well. Brush the entire bird with butter. and bake till tender.
Yeah, I just took a serv safe class recently. This is how you thaw foods correctly. You can put it in a fridge-41 degrees Celsius or lower. You can run potable water at the temp of 70 degrees Farenheit or lower over it. You can put it in a microwave oven,if the food will be cooked immendiately after thawing. If you put in the microwave, sometimes you have to be careful because it will start to cook the meat.
Take it out now or defrost in microwave (you will have to watch it carefully so it doesnt cook in the microwave.)

Does anyone have any advice about what to do about my weight loss plateau?

About a week and a half ago I drastically changed my diet to lose weight. I'm counting calories (usually staying under 1500), drinking ONLY water, adding healthy fruits %26amp; veggies, munching on frozen slim fast shakes for a snack, and even started doing a 2-mile aerobic DVD. In the first 4 days I lost 7 pounds, but since then I've only dropped one more pound. It seems too soon to be hitting a plateau!!! Help???Does anyone have any advice about what to do about my weight loss plateau?
After a week and half, there's no reason to worry about a plateau yet. Plus, 7 pounds in 4 days is astonishingly fast. Normally healthy weight loss happens at about 1-2 lbs per week. Hopefully some of the 7 pounds is water weight that your body dumped as a reaction to your change in diet.Does anyone have any advice about what to do about my weight loss plateau?
I tend to disagree with the water ';counter';...you really don't need to drink so many ounces a day per say, just go by your.....';tinkle';..!! if your urine is clear each time you go to the bathroom, you are fully hydrated. A darker yellow color means just to drink more water...I teach/work -out a lot and this has definitely work for me....
Drink plenty of water evenly through the day, eight or more glasses total. As soon as you wake up, try and drink 16 ounces of cold water. Drinking water is one of the most rapid weight loss tips that dieticians suggest to people and leads to 100+ calories extra burned a day. Eat six small meals a day. Typical times are 7:30am, 10:00am, 12:30pm, 4:00pm, 6:00pm, and 9:00pm. Lunch should be the largest. Other meals consist only of 1/2 palm sized peice of protein and one fist size organic carbohydrate food. Your palm and fist.

A great tip for how to lose weight fast, easy and safe is that you should have your last large meal about three hours before you go to sleep. It's ok to have a very small snack after that. Eat organic vegetables and fruits for breakfast like apples, non-fat yogurt, tomatoes, peppers, and carrots. Don't depend upon fat burning diet supplements. They won't go a long way in helping you sustain your reduced weight. Soft drinks contain 150 empty calories, you must substitute 1 can of soft drink (soda) with water each day. Every 20 soft drinks you skip from your normal intake equates to about one pound of weight loss. Diet sodas can stop you from losing weight, therefore drink and equal amount of water immediately after a diet drink to help flush your system or better yet, avoid diet drinks every other day if you have the will power all days except your ';cheat day';. (See below)

Being bored at your house, especially in the evening, becomes a cause of over eating. So keep yourself busy by meeting a friend, walking around the block, ride a bike around town, go see a movie, etc. Don't just sit on the couch all the time. As important as it is to pay attention to the fact that we eat the right food, equally vital is to keep a watch on the quantity. A good rule of thumb is: protein fits in the palm of your hand, carbohydrate fist size, and no fatty ad-ons (butter, dressing, etc). But dark greens (spinach, green beans, etc.) eat as much of those as you want because those are very healthy for you. (Broccoli is one of the best for this, but I recommend steamed) Eat your food slowly with each mouthful taking 30 seconds. Pause your eating half way through 5 minutes. Your body needs ten minutes to tell your mind it's full. Remember, eat slow. Go for a one hour walk 5 days a week. This does not to be a power walk but a faster pace will help your weight. If possible, carry some light 2-5 pound dumb bells. The ultimate tip to eventual success: regular exercise and a balanced diet. And one cheat day to your diet to rid yourself of cravings. But remember not to over eat on your cheat day.

    Good luck!

What are your thoughts about this advice?

Two years ago when i graduated high school i was in USMC JROTC and my Senior Marine instructor told me that ..

The military is not for everyone, College is not for everyone, but everyone is expected to work.

what is your take on what he said? what are your thoughts about it? is this advice he told me true? What are your thoughts about this advice?
I think he was being honest with you. The military is not the same as it once was and it is not for everyone. In this day and age of information technology getting a general discharge is not a good thing and is easy for employers to find out about. Not only that but the service used to try and find a place for you to fit in but doing less with more, the high ops tempo, along with the difference in generations that we now have it is not the place to be if you don't like it or can't stay out of trouble.

At the same time you will probably have to work unless you come from a family with money, win the lottery, or marry money. You know your economic situation better than me but if you don't come from a family with money what are the odds of marrying it or winning the lottery. As for college there are many jobs that don't require college but do require involment in going to school and getting into some kind of a skilled trade that you can make a halfway decent living in. Some people go to college for the wrong reasons or don't finish it and end up owing a lot in loans and grants these days. They then drop out and do something else but the bill for their schooling still remains to be paid. Some of that can be avoided is what he is also saying to you and that you need to consider your choices carefully and try to make the best one for you especially since it is you that will have to ultimately live with the outcome from it.What are your thoughts about this advice?
It seems like a very bright and non judgmental piece of advice. And, he's right. It sounds like he believes you are squared away and know yourself well and are capable of making the right individual decision for you.

Good advice. Sounds like a good guy.
Of course its true, a simple and sad fact of life... So do one or the other or both and hope for a career you love... Good luck... :)
    YES ,

smart person who does not seem to pressure people into the military.
    Keep your mind open.
    Yea, that's true.
Hard to know exactly what he meant without really understanding the context when he said it. But yes, every nations success and economy depends on productivity. And productivity is derived from people working and pulling their own weight. We work to produce the goods and services other people make and offer. We can buy them because we earn money producing goods and services. A win - win situation. It's what keeps an economy afloat. People who don't work and strive to improve their lives are just an anchor. How we choose to earn a living is as vast and as full of opportunity as we want it to be.

  • I need career advice, thinking about a career in the FBI as a criminal profiler?

I'm still not sure yet but i think I want to become a supervisory special agent with the NCAVC or a criminal profiler as its more commonly known. Of course I realize that I will spend many years as an FBI special agent first and even then getting into the NCAVC and even then its not guaranteed. I'm only a freshman in high-school but I want to start planning on a career as soon as possible. Right now I'm just looking for any kind of advice such as useful courses to take in college, working conditions of an FBI special agent and/or criminal profiler or alternate careers in the FBI.

I'm generally an intelligent person and I'm good at figuring things out and reasoning- I'm a logical thinker. I just want a career where i can use my skills and also make the world a better place in some way. If you know of any other careers (in or outside criminal justice) that sound like what I'm looking for that would also be a big help.

Thank you for all your help.I need career advice, thinking about a career in the FBI as a criminal profiler?
Getting in to the FBI is very difficult. Getting in to the elite NCAVC is even more challenging. I use to be interested in working for the FBI until I learned that you have no choice on where you will be stationed. Needless to say, I've researched what it takes to get in to the FBI. I also chose a course of study in college that will help to get in to the criminal justice system.

Working towards joining the FBI starts in high school. You have to consistently work hard to get good grades and boost your resume with community service and extra-curricular activities. When it comes to choosing a major in college there are several that the FBI recommends. Most people believe that Criminal Justice would be the obvious choice, but in actuality, that is not one of the recommended majors. The FBI's website list four majors that they are interested in. These include Accounting, Law, Language, and Computer Science. I recommend that you try to double major in college choosing one of the above mentioned majors and also psychology (to help with the NCAVC). While your in college you should definetly apply for an honors internship with the FBI. You must have at least a 3.0. Additionally, it is important that you maintain a high GPA your entire college career.

After college you could try and apply to the FBI right away. You may also choose to further your education and increase your chances of being hired by obtaining your masters, law degree, or doctorate.

Another job that might interest you is becoming an intelligence analyst for anyone of the federal agencies (military, CIA, FBI, DEA, etc.).I need career advice, thinking about a career in the FBI as a criminal profiler?
Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders. I read your question and the possibilities are endless. Ever consider going to work for NASA ?

Can someone give me advice about choosing a monolouge?

This is meant to be more geared to film and tv casting agents. Thank YouCan someone give me advice about choosing a monolouge?
Make sure you pick one that you can relate to. A character of a similar age, experiences and ideas about life. When you are starting out with film and television you want to choose a character that you can naturally step into - a camera picks up if you're faking it a lot better than a theatre.

Check out this site, you should be able to find what you are looking for here:

    http://www.whysanity.net/monos/

All the best :)Can someone give me advice about choosing a monolouge?
Do not pick something done too often.

Don't get out the old 'This one works every time'. It will become stale and look too fake. Pick something new but within your reach.

Play a character you can sympathise with.

Choose a monlogue which allows you to show different emotions. You have to have gone on a sort of emotional journey through the monlogue- there could be laughter, there could be tears.

Don't address monlogues directly at the agents, if you're meeting them face to face- i.e. don't bring them in. If your monlogue is addressed to a girlfriend, don't perform it to a female agent. It looks like you're begging and it makes them feel awkward.

    Don't come 'in character'

make shure it has only one wheel

What is the best advice about life that you would give to someone?
Life to me is like a pendulum that swings between both pleasure and pain. It can be difficult to keep a delicate balance. Rejoice when the pendulum swings in the way of pleasure and when it unexpectedly swings the other way, surround yourself with family and friends, keep your head on straight, try to think rationally and remember time heals most of your pain.
Accept reality as it is as if you want reality to change as if you someone to be differnet. Since that person or something can't change and you start to argue in your head why can't he/she be or do this or why does this have to happen. When you do this you enter stress because fighting with reality the answer to who's going to win is a no brainer. Reality is always going to win as all your going to get from that fight is stress as reality of course fells nothing.
Nothing and everything is not permanent in life. Life will always change and so will you. Its up to you to keep living in the present and learn from your mistakes. And never thinking you'll not make it in something is bull unless you take risks. I strongly think taking risks in important. Even if the outcome isn't what you expected; you experienced it and learn from that.
The best advice that I could give someone about life is pretty simple. Don't sweat the small things, they don't matter in the long run. Although I can't follow my own advice, that would be what I would tell someone.
life is short, live it to the fullest, have fun be crazy dont take it for granted, regret nothing, forgive, never forget
Don't measure life in the amount of breaths you take in....but in how many moments take your breath awayy.... :)

  • I have a hamster and I want some advice about hamster food.?

I have bought two different makes of hamster food which I have put into a sealed container. However, when I open the container to give the hamster new food, these little moth type things fly out of the food! Its not very nice! Has anyone else had this problem? And can anyone recommend a type of hamster food that doesn't contain these little moth type things!I have a hamster and I want some advice about hamster food.?
Get rid of this horrible food as fast as you can!! Go to the store and show them!! Hamsters also need fresh food like lettuce and carrots. Unsalted peanuts are good to. Cornflakes are fine to give a hamster as are all cereals. Make sure the cereal is not coated with sugar or other flavourings. Try not to overfeed though.I have a hamster and I want some advice about hamster food.?
i get my hamster food from tescos and i have never had any problem with it. and maybe keep the food in its original container.
ewww not nice take it back to the shop its contaminated there should be nothing in the food, their is a food called reggie rat and they cater for all small animals they contain all the nutrients that the little creatures need, if in doubt ask at your local pet store.
You've got to get some new food for your hamster, I've two of them and I usually feed them these black seeds which they really love. Also I add in different varieties, such as giving them waffles once.
Yuck! You need to dispose of this food - no food should have things growing in it! And I'd mention it to the pet store you bought it from!

Any store-bought hamster mix should be fine, so long as it is specifically for hamsters and not any other rodent. If it has mould or insects in it, complain to the pet store - and use another store!

Can anyone give me advice about seeking child support?

my niece is 11 and never recognized by her dad. we know the mans name and the military base where he is stationed but..when we went to the state to have him start paying child support they said they needed his social security num. which i think is ridiculous cause thats not public knowledge .(i thought that was their job). what do we do?Can anyone give me advice about seeking child support?
Is the father named on the birth certificate? If he is than you need to hire an attorney and they will get you what is necessary to get all the child support - back, current, and future - that is due to the Mom/child.

If the father is NOT named on the birth certificate you have little to no recourse unless you have a paternity test done proving that he is the father.

The military is a great place to contact if he is named on the birth certificate because they take these matters very seriously. If he was mandated 11 years ago to pay child support and hasn't he could be in serious legal trouble as well as trouble with the military. Can anyone give me advice about seeking child support?
Go to your states web site and look for child support enforcement information, most give step by step instructions on what to do. SSN helps but gather everything you guys know, the more info the better. I know the MI web site has it listed under DHS. There are also child support enforcement agencies that may or may not charge a fee, such as www.csskids.com. Look into all state help 1st, if they are not helpful, try the federal government as they oversee all child support. Good luck.

Talking to my son about Masturbation, advice please?

I don't think my 13 year old son masturbates, and don to believe he ever has.I am concerned that he is never has, and in turn,l be embarrassed on his first time. Over this past year i have tried to catch him masturbating, in order to congratulate him. My efforts were unsuccessfull. Im thinking that i should show him how. Should we masturbate together as a part of a father son thing, or should i take him to the doctor?Talking to my son about Masturbation, advice please?
    That... Is... Sick...

If anything.. Jus ';accidently'; leave porn on.. He'll figure it out...Talking to my son about Masturbation, advice please?
1.) please DO NOT try to catch your son masturbating!!!

2.) please DO NOT make masturbation a ';father son'; thing, it is NOT something you should do together, it is not something to condone, nor should you even want to be there is he is doing that!!!!!

3.) masturbating is NOT something you WANT your son to do...I know society has made masturbation seem acceptable or normal, but is not.

Masturbation is a sign that someone lacks maturity or self control and regards himself as no more than an animal who does not have the ability to control his urges.

instead, commend him on his maturity in refraining from that behavior, and teach him techniques to help distract him from those urges when or if he gets those urges.

But you probably will not take my advice since you dont seem to have been taught those values yourself.
Ewww, k, first off, you should NOT masturbate with him...that is really really weird. Hearing your parents tell you about sex is awkward enough...nevermind them offering to show you how!!! Yikes. I feel bad for your son. Don't try to catch him, just sit him down, give him the sex talk, and tell him that masturbation is totally normal and he shouldn't feel guilty for doing it. Don't bother with a doctor, you should handle this yourself (but PLEASE PLEASE don't masturbate as a father son thing...take him fishing or something to tell him about it)
What is wrong with you??? Masturbate TOGETHER??? I don't know about the rest of you, but masturbating is definitely NOT on the father/son to do list as a bonding activity. That's wrong of you to wonder about and try to catch him in the act of doing. What the hell??? I'm kind of at a loss of words on this one...are you trying to be funny or are you serious? Quit trying to catch him in the act! That's abnormal-obviously you did it when you were younger and nobody pestered you. Let him discover it on his own! Trust me, if he has a penis, he will...
LOLOL you cannot be serious, A father/Son J.O. Session, get real, geez. First of all it's none of your business, and believe me that is the last thing he will ever want, for you to catch him. How dare you anyway, trying to catch him. Congratulate him? You'll embarrass him to tears, YIKES. What possible reason would he need a Doctor? Any fact that he may or may not have already masturbated, has no relation to being physically unable. Gads, this is insane.

    Angel
Omg don't walk in on him!!!!!! Omg no no no no no no no. Just leave him alone. Imagine your conversation with the doctor: 'My son doesn't masturbate. He is ill'. Don't masturbate with him either! Thats so wrong. Just leave the boy alone. Why do you need to congratulate him? Leave him thats such a private thing.
Talk to him about it. No demonstration is necessary. You boys have had it in your hand since you were infants (there are 3 newborn boys in my life right now, I know this first hand, lol). He's probably figured it out already, so just let him do his thing and bring it into conversation when you talk about sex.
Dude masturbation is done privately or with the opposite sex that you love not a father son thing. Its just gross if you do it together. He should do it on his own and if he doesn't do it then thats fine. Its a thing that you can do and won't do and you still be fine.
never do it together that borderlines child abuse and you can get in trouble for that. and dont try and catch your son he will do it when he's ready. maybe he only does it when ur away because he doesnt want use to see. or maybe he doesnt think abotu that yet he is only 13
    ';Should we masturbate together as a part of a father son thing,';

    lmao, are you actually serious?

    DON'T DO THAT!

that could scar him for life...

just let him do what he wants, once the hormones kick in he will do it more and more...but don't purposely try to catch him.
okay if ur son is 13 then i don't think u need to give him a talk....maybe he does do that but he's good at hiding it. and why the heck would u masturbate w/ him? but he's a big boy and he can figure it out on his own okay? so don't do that.
Leave it alone, it's better he never knows than you telling him. I didn't know what masturebation was til last year when I was 15and i don't do it. How would you show him how it's done? would you do it in front of him.
I started around there. Every boy starts around that time.

Umm that would be so weird if you guys did it together.

He will do it on his own and if you catch him thats great.

But I have never been caught and us guys are really tricky when it comes to these things
Do it together wtf is wrong with u are nasty and gross see a professional!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!鈥?br>

By the way he's only 13!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Barely a teenager!!!!! He's not even in high skewl and u want him to have sex!!!! whats are you 19? knocked up a girl at 10!?!
Are you a pervert. When and if your son masturbates is none of your business. I think you should be reported to the police and childrens welfare dept, and I will do my best to get that done.
I think doing it together would be creepy. trust me. any 13 year old would hate you forever for it. did your dad teach you?! let him figure it out on his own and STOP trying to catch him 'cause its a private thing.
Just let it be! He will hear about things like that from school, and then he will probably do it. Don't do it with him. That is gross, and would create an awkward situation for him!
Im almost 100% certain that if he hasn't figured it out yet, he will soon. I don't think you should sit him down to talk about it...or continue to try and catch him in the act
    ';Im thinking that i should show him how. Should we masturbate together as a part of a father son thing';

    naaaarsty.

    yet hilarious.
I hope you are trolling. If not, you should speak to your doctor about your issues on this subject. Leave your kid alone, he'll touch himself when he's good and ready.
    SICKO
DUDE are you crazy if you want him to be scarred for life keep doing what your doing %26amp; we will have another serial killer in 10 years just leave out some Playboys %26amp; let nature take its course
do it together? sounds like a lawsuit waiting to HAPPEN!
do it together? wtf is wrong with youuu???!
just keep trying to catch him
not even gonna touch that one...

Financial advice about opening a Pension scheme?

Where can I get impartial advice about opening a Pension scheme for myself when I get half my ex husbands Naval Pension? My Solicitor says I must have one in place for my share when the order goes through. Is it a free service? I hope this explains enough for someone to answer my query. Thank you.Financial advice about opening a Pension scheme?
For the best annuity rates which are provided impartially try the Financial Services Agency. Log into fsa.gov.uk/tables and they list the best rates. I would select the best three or four and ask your financial adviser to get THEM to quote formally not his pet company from whom he gets the best commission.

You could of course approach the pension company direct.

IFA's usually take their commissions from the pension company so you should not have to pay them but you should ask your people to confirm this.

Like you I have never considered IFA's truly independent.

Best wishes.Financial advice about opening a Pension scheme?
    First, ask your solicitor to suggest one, ';Who would you call if this were for you?';

Second, if I grasp the situation correctly, then banks, brokers, and insurance companies all have people that will happily help you. There will be a fee, but they usually take it when the money starts flowing into your 'scheme'.
Most companies will not charge you for a rollover. You may want to roll the funds into an IRA account. A fixed or indexed annuity is also an option.

Are you only going to work smaller or do larger freelance things like logos and ads plus signs or murals? You can put together a flyer with a card and mail it out or give it out to companies that might need freelance work-put a top letter on it that is hand signed and personal-ask to be put in their vender files. Even if you don't have any actual jobs yet-its not their business. Take photos of example work and make it looked finished as if its job examples. Put up cards in print shops and check your local BBB and see if they have breakfasts etc to share busioness info etc.

  • I need intelligent, healthy advice about changing my lifestyle. Can you help me?

I am 23 years old, 5'4'; and 125-130 lbs, so I am about where I need to be as far as weight is concerned. I have recently tried to add more natural foods to my diet, and started running and jogging. If I run 3 times a week for 30 minutes, is that enough since I am not trying to lose weight? I just want a healthier heart!I need intelligent, healthy advice about changing my lifestyle. Can you help me?
As your question concerns heart, it is better to follow cardio-vascular regime of exercise. Be aware of MHR (maximum heart rate) and have a pulse monitor while doing exercise - to have good control over the results.

Your height and weight are suggesting that you are not obese. why not combine strength building and cardio together - out of three days, two for strength and one for cardio?

I appreciate that you decided to exercise thrice a week! Good luck and keep it up.I need intelligent, healthy advice about changing my lifestyle. Can you help me?
YOU ARE DOING ALOT BETTER THAN MOST OF US.MY DOCTOR TOLD ME 1 OTHER TRICK TOO , 30 MINUTES BEFORE YOU EAT HAVE A GLASS OF METAMUCIL THIS WILL HELP IN 2 WAYS 1 IT MAKES YOUR DIGESTION TRAC START WORKING BEFORE YOU EAT AND IT WILL HELP CUT DOWN YOUR PORTION SIZE .I DONT EAT AS NEARLY AS HEALTHY AS I SHOULD BUT EVEN WITH MY BAD DIET I LOST FAT AND DIDNT GAIN ANY MORE WEIGHT
For your age and height your weight is OK. Go for a brisk walk daily about 5 to 6 kilometers, avoid fatty food and tension, have a good sleep for about minimum 7 hours daily and have a hobby and spend one or two hours daily with some good friends or children.
Try yoga. Yoga does not work like normal exercise, which is based on burning calories. Yoga works to improve your metabolism so you do not put on weight in the first place. Remember how you could eat all you want when you were 16 and yet it never showed on your midriff, well your metabolism was good then. Bring it back there. Try Yoga. If you want to know what exercises you need to do in yoga do mail me back.
    Do YOGA.
The more the better when it comes to cardio health. If you enjoy it 3 times a week, do it 3 times a week. If you can fit other activities into your schedule, do those too.

I recently added a device to my kitchen that is guaranteeing me an easy way to add more natural foods to my diet: www.vitamix.com -- it's the best piece of equipment for the kitchen.
Congrats on starting an exercise program! Do you run outside or on a treadmill? If outside, there is a concern about breathing auto exhaust esp. in the early morning or late afternoon hours.

Other than that, you might want to add some swimming or light resistance exercises. But yea, cardio exercise and a proper diet are crucial to heart health.

    Keep up the good work!
3 times a weeks is great, especially since you're starting out. If you get bored with running, try cycling or some type of karate/tae kwon do class or video. Once you build up your heart muscle, you might want to add some time to your workouts, or add another day. The simple fact is that doing ANYTHING is a good thing. Running is excellent for the heart and lungs. On days you run, eat a few more calories (200-400) more than you do on your off-days. This way you maintain your weight and your body gets some much needed added calories to burn up. Best of luck and congrats on a wonderful decision!
You answered you own question, keep it up.
I came across this great product for weight loss and it was excellent for me. Together with a good diet and exercise I am finally happy with my body and the way I look. You should check this product at

I need someone to help with learning about college/Advice?

Okay, I really want to to become a writer and attend college in new york but my parents refuse and want me to stay in Florida. I also want to study psychology but i don't really like Miami colleges and i feel like they are making me miss out on my dreams ..What should i do?I need someone to help with learning about college/Advice?
I would present your information on the majors to them and ask them should you give up your dream? Mention to them college is a big investment for my future, and you don't want their (assuming they are paying for it) money to be waisted. The key to this method is to give them information that you've looked into, not just an I don't want to go to Florida cry. Also, let them know you understand why they want you to stay in Florida and close to home.I need someone to help with learning about college/Advice?
One of the top 3 studies worldwide is psychology. I am just finishing up my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and it has been very interesting to say the least.

You could always study online from anywhere. I go to Ashford University and they have a GREAT program. My advisor is Aimee ext 7084. Google Ashford University and give her a call. What do you have to lose?

    Last name is Rogers.

I have been to 4 Universities, and Ashford has been my favorite thus far. Best of wishes...
..sounds complex. Maybe take a one year course in writing in Florida to prove to them that you are committed to your dream/goal.

Can someone give me advice about child immigration?

My husband lives in the UK on a spousal visa on my British passport, his son lives in South Africa with the mother. The mother would like the son to live with us in the UK but she never put my husband's name on his birth ceritificate and so we never declared him as having any children with his visa application. Does anyone know what we need to do now and who we need to speak to? Also is this going to affect my husband's visa? Will it be retracted? Can someone give me advice about child immigration?
I would suggest you see a solicitor, the problem is your husband's name is not on the birth cert. So, he would need to prove parentage to the child. Does he financially support the child now and has done in the past? Why was his name not on the birth cert?

Does the mother acknowledge him as the father? Did the father not know of the child, when he made the application for a visa to the UK? If yes, why was he not put on the application for a visa?

These are all questions the solicitor is going to ask you, as you never declared the child in any application before hand. So was it a case of not knowing about the child or omitting the information required.

Good luckCan someone give me advice about child immigration?
If you were in Canada, your husband can never sponsor his son because he was not put down on the application. The child would have wait until he was grown up and apply as a skilled worker on his own education and employment.

I dont know what the UK policy is, but it MIGHT be seen as fraud, since you knew about the child but never added him to the original application.

I would love some advice about planting peas?

I want to grow peas in container gardens on my deck, using the lattice work decking as a place for them to climb. I want to plant a variety-english, early, snow, snap, etc. The package says to sow outdoors 8 weeks before last frost, which would be now for NC. Can I start them in jiffy pot greenhouses indoors, or should I put the jiffy pots outside after planting? Thanks for any helpI would love some advice about planting peas?
Just start inside as any other plant. If you have any green thumb talent, you'll do fine.

Unlike going from inside to out where you have to ';harden'; the plant before transplanting. You would be already started inside and have no worries about shocking the plant from climate change.. Just keep to the basics and don't over do or under do anything.

----Oh, nice touch to the desk, sweet idea!I would love some advice about planting peas?
I plant the in the ground as soon as I can work the ground

I bet they won't like transplanting
planting peas in pots I would say not,,how high is your lattice, don't forget they can grow very high,, as for the rest yes your going down the right road
Actually I would not use Jiffy Pots any peat pots are not good as peat is a low supply. But whatever you choose, peas need to be planted early and as soon as the soil can be worked. They like cooler weather and begin to flag when overheated. They can even withstand a certain amount of frost, so you don't have to worry there. I would just plant them directly in the ground. Depending upon the type you are planting, they can reach 6 feet, so have some support stakes ready for them to cling to.
If you're growing peas as ornamentals, sure put them in pots. If you intend to eat them, containers will not produce sufficient peas for a meal. Put your jiffy pots in a south window and let them do their magick.

Please help! I need advice about sending my son to a language immersion school?

I'm a stay at home mother of a boy who will be turning three this fall. My world revolves around him. He is wonderful, bright, energetic, charming, and loves being around people. I feel like he is very special and could do great things. Living near the city we have a lot of options about where to send him to school. There is a school that offers full language immersion and he would learn a second language. The facility and teachers seem very nice, the test scores are impressive, etc. But they only speak to the children in the selected language. I want my son to get a good education but his happiness is the most important thing to me. Do you think that this would be too much for a three year old? I want him to enjoy his youth. Obviously we have a lot of great fun on our free time with him but I want him to enjoy school. I'm having a hard time deciding. Please help! I need advice about sending my son to a language immersion school?
You sound a great mother. I take my hat off to you for staying with your child. The quality time you have shared together will be beneficial to both of you in the future.

Language school..um...nothing wrong with it at all. For 99% of children who go, they all turn out bi-lingual and just as happy had they gone to another school. You know, you have to try it and see. If for some reason it doesn't seem to work out, pull him out of there and put him into another school.

Good luck. Please help! I need advice about sending my son to a language immersion school?
The whole day they would only be speaking to him in the other language??? That seems a little odd to me, but there isn't anything around my area like that. I wish there was somewhere that my daughter could learn a second language as a toddler instead of waiting till high school.

Maybe you could talk to another parent that has had a child there... maybe more than one parent. Talk to the school, and see if they could help you set up a meeting with a few other moms.
It's really good that you are thinking about his education so early in his life. I do agree with talking to some other parents who have enrolled their children at that school. Children learn a lot easier at a young age especially languages. My mother sent me to a similar school and I started learning english in kinagarten and even though I'm only 17 I've already picked up english spanish french and german. I think you should really look into that school. Good luck
I would not be too much. It is a great time for him to learn a new language.
I think is a very good idea to send Him to learn, because at this age is when they can learn a lot! fast and easy, if is not too many hours every day of course, 1 hour or 2 it would be fine for Him. Congratulations for having a Great Kid.

  • Need advice about what to do tonight with this girl?

Ok, tonight I'm going out with one of my girl friends to dinner and the movies. I really like her and she knows it but I'm not sure if she likes me (she might since she wanted to go out but it's hard to tell). Should I treat it as a date (paying for everything, being a gentleman, etc.). And how much flirting is too much (she's ok with innocent touching but is trying to kiss her out of the question?). Thanks for your help.Need advice about what to do tonight with this girl?
Dinner and a movie sounds like a date. Treat it accordingly. Flirt as much as feels comfortable and you can determine that when the time comes. Try not to kiss on the first date. If she likes you, it will make her want more. If she doesnt like you like that, then you have dodged an awkward moment. At the end of the night ask her if you wanna do this again. If she says yes, the cats in the bag. If she says no, then.. sorry hun, lol.

Most importantly, relax and enjoy your night!

BE YOURSELF!Need advice about what to do tonight with this girl?
be real nice at meal then get real close at movies and then ask her if she loves you. If she does then ask her to come back to yours and if she does then ask her to sleep with you. Remember nice and gentle and use a condom
    Alrighty,

Well for one, you should be a gentleman no matter which one of your ';girl friends'; you're with. You should see the kind of girl she is, some girls don't like guys paying for everything while other do.

If you like her and she likes you, you'll feel the moment, and when you'll know you'll know when to move in :)

    Good Luck
Just pay for everything, then during the movie put a dollar bill in her pants. Make sure you shove it in there good and deep. She'll know what to do.
Depends on what kinda movie your watching, love dovey movies ...dont kiss the girl. Scarry movies just hold her tight and give her a good night kiss, a movie that gets boring..kiss her. kiss the girl if the movie is boring. I repeat kiss the girl if the movie is boring.

Can anyone give me some advice about the new diet pill, Alli?

That new FDA approved diet drug. I am considering trying it. It is a fat-blocker that helps you lose weight with diet and exercise, but supposedly has some unpleasant ';treatment symptoms';. Anyone actually used it. Please advise. Can anyone give me some advice about the new diet pill, Alli?
    Hello dear!

You are so young to start such pills!

Try the good way, increase vegetables and fruits, reduce fats, salt, butters, etc., exercise more and you will soon be healthier and happier! Can anyone give me some advice about the new diet pill, Alli?
    Take them only if prescribed.

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.
I have seen it and thought about it, but fear the side effects that have not yet been discovered yet. However, it is a lot like a drug call meridia that came out in the 90's. My girlfriend took it. What happens is anything greasy and fatty will go right through you. And I mean even the littlest amount of grease. My friend spent a lot of time in the bathroom. Not to sound gross, but if you pass gas, be prepared to change your underwear if you cheat and eat french fries or any other thing like butter.
It is too new. I suggest you wait to see what happens to other people and ALWAYS consult your doctor!

We both work with younger students (ages 5 - 8) who have a wide range of special needs. Toileting is one of them, although we do our best to get the kids on a toilet training program at home and at school. Even so, there are a LOT of messes to clean up! In our district, the nurse does staff training, so we all use the proper procedures to protect ourselves and the students from the spread of disease.

Some students will never be toilet trained, and I do find changing the diapers of a teenager to be more unpleasant than doing the same for a younger child.

Wiping noses and bottoms is a typical part of being a special ed assistant. For certain students, our staff may be called upon to do g-tube feedings, urinary catheterizations, and administer medications. All of that seems intimidating at first, but with good training from our nurse, it becomes part of the routine.

I would advise you to visit some special education classrooms and see what's involved. Some people just can't get comfortable with what is involved, and others (like myself) find that the joyful parts of the day far outweigh the unpleasant ones.Advice please About a career in assisting special ed children?
I am going to tell you like it is....I will not sugar coat it, I will not make it sound better than it is. You will have enough people doing that for you!

OK well...I am going to assume that since you did not realize the toileting thing till now...you may not realize that in ';special ed'; you will be peed on, spit on, hit, bitten, sneezed on, coughed on, smelled, sat on, chased by, chase, and possibly pooped on...you will also likely have students strip in front of you at some time in your career.

Special ed is the hardest job for the lowest pay!

There are all different types of special ed, if you read this and still want to do it...then you are possibly one of those wonderful people that should just be rewarded wings now!!!! If you are doubting.......you should reconsider! Most people only last in Special Ed about 6 years, because the system is not what it should be and they get frustrated and too tired to continue!

    Good luck!
How about working with service providers (Visually Impaired Department, Assistive Technology, Alternative Augmentative Communication, Bilingual %26amp; Testing, Speech, etc. You provide direct services on a consult basis to the student and teacher (really fun). I will need an assistant next school year. We are currently developing the job position.
I am also a Special Ed teacher and I usually do not have this situation with the children I work with, but last summer I worked with different children and ran into this problem. I too was nervous about this, because it was something new. I had just finished potty training my son, so I was up for the challenge. It is different though helping children that are not your own to toilet, but after a few times it is no big deal.

I do things that I never thought I would do or thought I could handle (personality wise) as a special ed teacher. I hope you love your new job and make sure you have flushable wipes...it will make you so much happier!
Wear latex gloves. Protect yourself and the kids. Our special ed department recommends staff get vaccinated for hepatitis and such things - I haven't done that yet. Yes, there are unpleasant aspects to this job but please look beyond this to the kids themselves. They are worth the effort. Yes, i get coughed and sneezed on, I get Pink Eye at least once every year no matter how much I wash and my hands are always red from the washing and the hand sanitizer but I love it when I sit to read with a student and he gets that word he has been struggling to learn and he reads to me without help. It is huge!!
Well, I will ask this question then give advise based on assumtion. Do you feel you will be comfortable in assisting a disabled child, wheather mentally or/and physically handicapped with toileting? If not then this may not be the job for you. If so, then it will really not be all that bad, seeing as though you are considering working with children with special needs shows you are a caring person. As a mother of a handicapped child who is in diapers I can tell you that in spite of his limitations he constantly lights up my life just by his smile and laughter. These children are special and need all the love and patience one can give, so look within yourself to see if you have that to offer and you will be fine no matter what decision you make.
I just started as a teacher's assistant in a special needs classroom. We are part of a collaborative and our kids have very low cognitive skills. Their disabilities range from Down's to Autism to William's Syndrome... We do have to toilet all of them, and at least 4 out of the 7 of them are not potty trained. I love the job, the toileting aspect of it is a little awkward at first, but you just kinda fall into it, like a routine and eventually you don't even think about it. Try not to make something as small as that your deciding factor to take the job. It is so unbelievably rewarding in so many other ways.

Can anyone give me some advice about middle school?

I just left 5th grade and I'm going into middle school can anyone give me some advice? Can anyone give me some advice about middle school?
    oh my goodness! congrats!

i just left middle school, so i have a fresh knowledge about middle school.

1- don't worry about bullies or getting lost in school, the 1st week is easier.

2-have fun but not too much! study by reading books during the summer that will make you smart.trust me on that, i did it and i got a 97 average in 6th grade.

3-be yourself, stay in touch with your friends.

you may loose some and gain others but that's what middle school is all about.

just follow those simple rules and you will do just great!

i wish you soo much luck! Can anyone give me some advice about middle school?
Congratulations! Middle school will be different in that you will need to change classes every 55

minutes. Keep good notes, read your assignments, and check out the resources in the

library. You are in for a great time and many wonderful memories. Just study hard and read,

    read,read.
just don't worry... middle school is dull... nothing interesting... and of course generally doesn't count for college in any way- but do develop good study habits!
Well... it is good and bad in some cases. Good thing is that any teachers you don't like you only have 1 period with them. Which on the flip side the good ones only last for so long. Being able to go to you lockers in between classes is nice to go stretch your legs. But for advice... just keep your head low and don't draw attention to yourself. Middle school is a time for bullying, backstabbing, gossiping, etc until your peers mature and basically stops doing stupid stuff. So keep your friends close and your enemies closer. A lot of new stuff happens and peer pressure like most will draw you into it. Like girl/boy friends. And don't worry if it doesn't work out for you. Only 7 more years till you graduate :).
What's important is to put everything into perspective---see what you're doing clearly and realize that you have a lot of power over what you do and think.

You are at the ';practice'; stage of your life, and you can try lots of new ideas and interests that you need to have experience with so you can pick and choose what you are REALLY interested in later.

For now, nothing is set in stone---if you make mistakes, or make a poor grade, or discover you have no talent at all for a hobby, a school project, etc.

Actually, even through the end of college, nothing is set in stone yet----your mission is to learn, to try, to improve yourself.

This will be your project, and you are building yourself for the future, which is very hard to know about.

Most of all, remember---everyone around you may disappear in years to come, and be only memories---but YOU will be with you forever, so cherish yourself.
Hey hun! I just ended my freshman year of high school, but I can definately help you with your middle school issues.

    1. Don't try and fit in with everyone. Within the first month you will find people just like you, don't think you have to change at all.

    2. Don't be ashamed of any classes you're taking. For example, don't let people think you're a geek for taking a higher math class. That'll help you in high school.

    3. Praticipate in sports and clubs! If you start a sport now you might be able to do it all through middle school and high school.

    4. Do study and work hard. It doesn't count for college, but if you don't pay attention in Algebra 1, you'll have trouble in Algebra 2.

    5. Have fun! Don't stress popularity. You are who you are and NO ONE can change that.

    %26lt;3 Amanda
Well first of all, if your not popular, then dont focus on it, just be like ok cool but ill going to make so many friends that you might become popular or just might be up there and you wont think about it. Remember, if you think you look like an idoit walking the walls and stuff remeber that everyone else is doing it to. If you dont have the best of cloths, then try to play it up with some accories. If you do have good cloths then still you accessories can make your outfit perfect. Be nice to everyone. Just because some one may not look as great as you or annoying just be nice. Once you get to know them, and they seem annoying then you can ditch them but if their cool then you could have yourself a new friend. DOnt be shy, if thats hard for you then try not being the loadest person then just try talking to some one like wow this is new, or this is kinda weird. AND WhAT EVER YOU DO DON NOT ACT LIKE YOU ARE BETTEr THEN EVERYONE ELSE!!!!!!!!! PEOPLE HATE THOSE KINDA PEOPLE AND DONT LIKE TO BE AROUND THEM!!!

Hope this helps and good luck in middle school!
get good grades and develop study habits, but don't stress out too much about it, since middle school will not go on your records for college.
As an adult, I find it very annoying when kids are showing off for each other, trying to impress them. You might consider not doing that.

As a teacher, I find it annoying when the kid simply says ';I don't understand.'; When you find you need to ask a question, try to make it as clear as possile and try to show, through your words, that you have tried (hard!!) to figure it out. When I see a kid who has tried and is struggling, I'm on that in a flash because I (as a teacher) am wired to help. People who are intellectually lazy do not impress me.

As you go through your life, you're going to struggle with emotional issues. Just like everybody else!! Every emotion that you have ever felt, well I have too, even though I am a very uncool guy in my 50's who likes Mozart, Bach and Beethoven and could care less who the current pop flavor of the month is.

Now, go have some ice cream, pet your kitty who loves you sooooo much, put on some favorite music and relax. Life is good, very good. You have a lot of very cool, very fun things to look forward to.

Oh yes, and tell your parents you love 'em. They like to hear that!!

Can anyone give me an advice about betas?

Can anyone teach me or tell me a site that could tell me, if I breed two different color betas, what color would be the outcome? Can anyone give me an advice about betas?
    http://www.aquarticles.com/articles/bree鈥?/a>

go here it will help in everything with betta spawning.

My BF decided to breed bettas once and used this site and he spawned some very beautiful fish, oh and he wasnt a seasoned fish keeper. So good luck with your spawning

    this a good site too%26gt;%26gt;

http://joshday.com/howtobreedbettafish.h鈥?/a>Can anyone give me an advice about betas?
It has been my experience that the colors will vary but usually be a combination of the parents colors. However, be careful when you breed Betas!! They are very territorial fish, a female who is not ready to mate will kill her suitor. Even if she is ready to mate if she doesn't like his ';bubble nest'; she will kill him. The male will create a nest of bubbles on the surface of his water to attract the female, as far as her reaction to him you will have to watch carefully to see if they are going to get along. You also have to put the female in the males tank and then after they mate remove her quickly to her own tank, unless you want to lose your male. (If they don't mate with in a short time they aren't going to.)
    http://www.aquarticles.com/articles/bree鈥?/a> has good information.

I believe the colors are at random. They all are different, but I have no idea since I never have, lol!
If you're not sure about what will happen or where to find resources, there is a strong possibility that you shouldn't be breeding bettas, something that should only be attempted by seasoned fish keepers.
I 'm sorry I don't know but I heard it's pretty hard to find a girl beta and it's even harder to breed them Check Out

if you put 2 in the same tank they will kill each other

Need advice about what to do tonight with this girl?

Ok, tonight I'm going out with one of my girl friends to dinner and the movies. I really like her and she knows it but I'm not sure if she likes me (she might since she wanted to go out but it's hard to tell). Should I treat it as a date (paying for everything, being a gentleman, etc.). And how much flirting is too much (she's ok with innocent touching but is trying to kiss her out of the question?). Thanks for your help.Need advice about what to do tonight with this girl?
so you are trying to see if she is interested in a relationship or just keeping you as a friend

I say pay for everything, but if she insists on paying for her own meal or ticket then cut your losses and accept her as just a friend. If she lets you pay for everything and some casual touching is allowed then try a kiss on her cheek toward the end of the night.Need advice about what to do tonight with this girl?
if your not sure, you should always keep it simple and more basic.

because if she is not interested in you the same way you are interested in her she might get a little freaked out.

my opinion would be to stay chill, and be yourself.

if she knows you are ';interested'; in her, she will make it more obvious if she is interested in you.
You should pay at least half, unless the two of you discussed that it is a date, then you should pay the whole bill. I wouldnt kiss her unless you knew that she felt comfortable. Maybe talk at dinner to see where the two of you are at.....Are you actually dating now or just getting together as friends?
Dont treat it as a date until she does. I have a friend who really likes me and a still like going places withhim just the two of us, but if he got flirty or anything iw ould leave right away.
my guy friends pay for me even if it's not a date so ya pay, unless she says that she wants to. and i say go in for the kiss if you feel like the time is right if not then don't go for it. you'll know if you should or not.
    hmmm

you should def be a gentleman, and pay for her...

if she is being flirty then you should go for it

    be very respectful, and polite!!!!
Follow her lead. If she seems interseted in you then go for it. If not then stay cool.
pay but dont be too flirty let her ease you in

  • Any Advice about a career in Human Resources?

    Hello,

I am currently looking for a job in Human Resources as an Assistant and then I want to gradually work my way up. I have plenty of Administration experience, excellent computer skills, Communication skills and I am extremely organised.

Has anyone got any advice about the career, good and bad points, what is the best path to travel etc.

Any help will be gratefully recieved, thanks in advance.

I am based in the South East (uk)Any Advice about a career in Human Resources?
As long as you have admin experience you should be able to get an HR/Personnel Assistant role. In the current economic climate, you should probably just take whatever HR admin job you can get (as all experience helps) but, ideally, I think it would be best to get one where you get to work closely with HR professionals. Some organisations have moved towards having a centralised HR admin function, performing functions such as processing appointment letters, change of hours forms etc. However, although the work you carry out would be similar, if you are based on the same team as experienced Personnel Officers, you will learn a lot just by listening to them discussing the sickness, disciplinary and other cases they are dealing with - and, if you show you are interested, they may be willing to explain what they are doing or let you shadow them.

Although there is no legal requirement to have a qualification to work in HR, once you start looking at more senior roles, most organisations will require you to either have or be working towards graduate membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (http://www.cipd.co.uk) although sometimes employers will pay for you to do this course. Once you are in HR, there are lots of different specialisms you may be able to move into, although I think it's best to get some generalist experience first.

Good points of HR? - I think for generalist roles (advising managers and staff on day-to-day issues like absence management, disciplinary cases etc), it's a very interesting area, dealing with different issues and good if you like working with people.

Bad points? - You can be seen as the bad guy by staff (e.g. dealing with redundancies, dismissals etc)

Although you have to work within the law, the approach you are expected to take will depend on the organisation (e.g. some organisations will consider equal opps important while others will just want to do the bare minumum to avoid tribunals, some will be prepared to provide more support to staff who are off sick or have capability issues whereas others will be more quick to move towards formal proceedings and ultimately dismissal). Overall, I think the best thing to do is just get an entry-level role, take whatever learning opportunities you can and get to find out about the different areas of HR. If the organisation you work for doesn't offer these opportunities, start looking for another HR job elsewhere. (I spent three years working as a Personnel Assistant in an organisation where there were no development opportunities. I made a sideways move - applying for another Personnel Assistant job at the same level in a different organisation - and within three months of starting there, I was offered a promotion. They also paid for me to study for the CIPD qualifications).

Any advice about working with animals?

I know i want to work with animals, does anyone know the best place to start? thanksAny advice about working with animals?
volunteer at a zoo or a wildlife habitat.Any advice about working with animals?
OK somebody has to say it - may as well be me ..

Never work with Animals or Children
I would look into getting a job at a local zoo or as a asst with a local vet.
If there is a zoo nearby or museum that shows live animals, see if you can get a volunteer job there. You can go from there.
absolutely. I don't know if you're into the idea of being kennel staff, but that's the best place to work with several types of small animals. I started out in 4-H as a kid and rode racehorses as a teenager. Working around the racetrack is a bad scene, but you learn to work with large animals which is scary to most people. I am trying to get in with a kennel right now...vet tech's are in need all around right now.
Another idea is to contact a pet groomer and ask if you can help (sweep hair off floor, clean insruments, etc.) in exchange for learning to groom

Can you give me advice about these problems with menopause?

I am 45 years old and I'm already having severe hot flashes, I haven't had a period in 6 months (I've had a test by the doctor and I'm not pregnant), and there is emotional anxiety, etc. The doctor said I was in pre menopause, but 6 months with no period sounds like full blown menopause, doesn't it?

Also, what treatments has anyone tried? Can you give me advice about these problems with menopause?
My doctor did a blood test on me to check my hormone levels to determine if I was pre-menopausal or in menopause. You should ask your doctor to do the same.

There are hormone pills that will help but they come with risks and side effects. Ask your doctor which would be best for you.

(I have the night sweats that are awful so I feel your pain!)Can you give me advice about these problems with menopause?
Hi Bonnie D, you are right it sounds like a full blown menopause but even if it was pre menopause there's lots of Choices that the doctor could have

talk to u about and put u on some kind of medication for it my suggestion will be call ur doctor back ask for medication for ur hot flashes if denied ask them why but first they have to take a blood test and see where your hormones levels are, and base on the results a mild or strong medication will be given, Good luck

    hope this Information will help
    Hi

I suggest using hrt which will protect you against many long term health problems associated with menopause including depression, insomnia, raised cholesterol, reduced libido, incontinence, anxiety, arthritis, osteoporosis and flushes.

The odds of increased risk of breast cancer rise from 43 in 1000 women to 44 in 1000 women.

There is plenty of scare stories about hormone treatment. But I believe the benefits far outweigh the risks.I myself use bio identical hormone therapy which is tailored to my needs by my Endocrinologist.
Your doc is right that you are in premenaupause. Once you dont bleed at all in one year you will officially enter it. Regarding your problems i guess at the moment you should try to bear with them but in case you are unable to ask you doc bout it. He/she may give prescribe your hrt or hormone replacement therapy. But usually its given after full menaupause. Right now your body is going through changes in hormonal levels. Anyways consult your doc about it
you need to talk too your DR.

    some people get hormone replacement
Hot flashes and night sweats can begin 4 -5 years before you period completely ends.

Consider taking the herb Black Cohosh for the hot flashes. You can later add Damiana and Don Quai. Some companies make a combo pill to take, check with your local Health Food Store.

Most of my friends have hot flashes. I've been drinking non-gmo Soy Milk - at least a glass a week and don't have hot flashes like my friends.
Hi, I started menopause early too, but my doctor said every one is different but it could take a few years . I was very lucky I sailed right through with out any meds of any kind.Good Luck!
Bonnie, that sounds exactly like me! They don;t call it emnopause until it's been 1 year without a period. For me, all the major stuff came after my periods stopped. I'm doing Bio Identical Hormone Replacement and I feel much better, Hang in there!
I think you are going through menopause as you are showing the classic symptoms. Hot flushes and no period. The word ';menopause'; literally means the ';end of monthly cycles'; from the Greek words pausis (cessation) and the word root men (month).

There are heaps of products on the market. So don't feel like you have to put up with it. I have links to some products below. :)

Can I get some advice about gelding a stud horse?

should I have my stud gelded?

he's a registered 4 yr old dun qh. I can't really handle him other than a little grooming and petting. what does gelding cost and do I take him to the vet, or does the vet come out to the farm? I have only had him for a month and have made a little progress with him. how will it change him?Can I get some advice about gelding a stud horse?
Unless he is exceptional and really worth breeding from then please do get him gelded. Apart from anything else he will be able to enjoy a much nicer life being turned out with other horses. Geld him soon. It should calm him down a lot, some horses it is almost immediate and with others it takes a while for the testosterone levels to drop. I guess you are in the USA so I don't know what happens there but in Europe the vet will castrate at your premises. Sometimes they just dope the horse and do it standing and other vets put the horse right out. There are pros and cons for both methods. Make sure that you hose him down every day afterwards to relieve swelling and keep him clean while he heals. Good luck with that! But also remember he is only a 4 year old and his behaviour may just be typically coltish and with handling and work he will grow out of a lot of it.Can I get some advice about gelding a stud horse?
With the glut of horses in this world almost all stallions need to be gelded. Only the very best should be breeding. Weanlings that used to bring $10,000 are bringing $5,000 or less and colts that used to sell for $500 or so can't be given away. Please have your boy gelded. He'll be happier and you'll be happier and you'll keep some babies off of the ground and out of the slaughter house.

It's a little harder on older horses to be gelded so it's sometimes a bit more expensive. Cost depends on where you live and your vet. My good vet costs me about $300 or so. The local vet is cheaper but not so good with the animals is about $150.

Personally I think that gelding your stallion will change your perception of him more than anything. It will make him happier and a bit calmer. The vet should come to your place. Try finding some help with handling him if you can. I really recommend books and dvds by Leslie Desmond. She has a website as well. Try getting the book, True Horsemanship Through Feel by Bill Dorrance and Leslie Desmond.
My vet comes to the farm and charges $100. Unless you want to breed him, you should definitely geld him. You can never trust a Stallion. It could take up to 18 months for the testosterone to leave his system. Once that happens, he should become a calmer horse. Some geldings never lose that Stud attitude though. I have a 7 year old former stallion that I gelded at 4. He still acts somewhat like a stallion. He bosses the other geldings and young stallions. We put him in with the mares and he ran them. He is better to take out by himself and isn't always trying to run back to his mares or calling to them. Geld him.
Yes yes yes, get him gelded. He will only get harder to handle. Very few horses are good enough quality to be a stud for breeding. And not everyone is qualified to handle a stud.

It should calm him down a bit and to less confrontational.

Here, you can do either, take your horse to the vet or have the vet out.

It's about $75.00 give or take in this area.
YES!!! Get him gelded. Depending on where you live the vet will come out to the farm, geld him and present you with a bill for around $200.00 including the trip fee. It is worth every single penny especially since you cannot enjoy him now. He will soon calm down and be much easier to handle. He will still need to learn his manners and sending him to a qualified trainer would probably help. Having him gelded will allow him to focus better though.

    Good luck with him.
if you do want to still have some offspring depending on his bloodlines i guess but you could deffinetly get some sperm frozen before gelding him but yes geld him soon!!! or he will stick to his habits and it will help a huge amount aswell!!

hes a dun to lovely colour would be nice to see if he could pass that colour to his off spring!! you could always get the sperm and sell it to a stud aswell..
get him gelded if ur not instrested in breeding him

it will carm him down although after he may still act liek a stallion porbley for a cuple of years but it will disapeer slowly

u can ride him and all that just as long as he has been trained propley etc

and u go to the vet altough some vets ared difrent better to go in
Yes you should geld him. The vet should come out to your farm. Stallions should only be handled by qualified professionals. If you don't know stallions you could get hurt. You will enjoy him much better once he is gelded.
If you are going to do it do it soon. Horses that are gelded to late never get out of some of the habits of Stallions.
If your stallion is not superior to average of the breed, GELD him. It's safer for you both and happier.
    Geld him.

Help me with some advice about dealing/befriending shy people?

If u are a shy person, please tell me why do you run from those that you like the most?

Help me with some advice about dealing/befriending shy people?
For me it's a self-confidence thing, I'm always afraid that the person isn't sincere, or that they secretley dislike me, and I'm too shy to ask so I just withdraw from everything! Help me with some advice about dealing/befriending shy people?
Because a shy person has difficult time with opening up. They are just like anyone else, but they tend to keep their thoughts and emotions to themselves to avoid embarrassment. For some people, the world is a big, big place. And they need to take smaller steps to cope. If they are not feeling safe to step out, then they won't. To run away from those that they would like most means that they are afraid to take the chance to put themselves out further than they feel they are able to. So their fear is greater than their wants. They need either more time, or they simply cannot handle it.
People who are shy are fearful. Lacks confidence. Has false ego. You have to first try to built up confidence in them. Make them understand that even if they commit something wrong, it does not matter and no body is perfect. Motivate them to do what others do generally. Instill the courage in them to do what they want to do. Please do not push them suddenly; instead, you have to do it slowly and then you can change their character.
I am shy near people that i don't know very well or that are intimidating. I'm fine in the classroom, asking questions etc. but sometimes i just don't feel confident enough to talk to some people. It mostly depends on the person... if that person is very confident and loud, i'm not comfortable talking to them, but if your a quiet person i'll talk to u fine... really i don't know why else i'm shy except that i'm not confident enough!! oh yea, nd i am an only child so maybe that plays in some how? but i'm really loud at home soo idkk...
ohhhh.... being shy is my worst problem as well...... i have this problem mostly in class, taking participation in seminars and discussions is really difficult for me, but the thing that i have experienced is that whenever i sit in front of the class so that i am close to the lecturer, this helps me to say my ideas or questions, but if it's possible for my classmates to see me while i am talking, this really dumps me, and am afraid of giving my ideas.......

if anyone has any solution or suggestion it will be good for both of us :(
Many shy people aren't happy with how they are treated. With this in mind, why would they want people they care about to be treated in a similar fashion(only one of many possible reasons). Of course, some people who might appear shy just prefer to choose their friends carefully.
im not but my soninlaw is....daughter sought him out and they were friends and then lovers....ask them ques about their families, pets, favorite books, etc...

    Need a handyman's advice about a washer & dryer?

I bought a used washer %26amp; dryer from the classifieds. (Yes I know now... big mistake)

When the washer goes through the spin cycle it leaks somewhere, about a gallon or two of water if it is a large load. I have checked all the hoses and can't find the source...

Then there is the gas dryer, which dries well enough and fast as long as the vent hose is not connected. This however makes the laundry room like a lint-filled sauna. But when we reattach the hose it's like there is not enough air flow and things don't get dry unless we run two cycles. We have tried a couple of different hoses, cleaned the lint accumulation from inside the dryer and checked the wall to make sure the vent to the outside is open. Still stumped!

It is not in the budget to buy a new set nor to call a repair man. I am supporting a family of 4 on just my income so every penny counts. But I am not afraid to get my hands dirty and take things apart. Any suggestions would be very much appreciatedNeed a handyman's advice about a washer %26amp; dryer?
too bad you can't take them for a test drive before you buy them thru the classifieds. also, sorry to hear about the troubles. i wish you had told us what brand these appliances were, it might help narrow down the possibilities of what the problem is. also, there is a guy that gets on at night, appliance guy or tech, you may want to post your question again tonight. for now, i'll try to help. as far as the washer goes; usually the pump starts before the washer goes into the spin cycle to lower the water level, the timer turns the motor on to run the pump, if the washer pumps water out first, the timer should be o k. so then look at the belt; does it have any 'shape' burned into it? is it shiney? it could be worn if shiney. if it has a thin spot in the shape of a circle, that could be a pulley burn spot, that would indicate a bad water pump. either it has a bad bearing or something is stuck in it. the bad bearing would most often happen during the rinse cycle than the wash as it would be hot by then. if everything looks like it is working in the right order and the belt looks new, i would unplug the washer and remove the hose from the tub to the pump. check and see if anything is inside the hose, pump, or bottom of the tub, i'm thinking a sock, knee high panty hose sort of thing. you will want to have a pan when you do this to catch the water that will drain out of these parts. if this all checks out fine; try to wiggle the pulley on the top of the water pump, if it moves side to side, the bearing is bad. without knowing the brand of the washer, that's about as specific as i can be. as far as the dryer goes; DON';T RUN IT UNVENTED! that is how gas dryers vent the exhaust gases. i don't know how long the vent hose is to the outside, but it should be as straight and short of a run as possible. this is espessialy true with the white vinyl flex hoses. most dryers can only pump the exhaust about 30' maximum, less 5' for any elbow or turn. the best way would be to use solid aluminum pipes and elbows and duct tape the seams and connections. the next best would be flexible aluminum hose, and the vinyl would be last choice. good luck to you, and i hope this helps.Need a handyman's advice about a washer %26amp; dryer?
You should not run your dryer if the hose isn't vented properly!

The dusty particles, and dryer fluff is really bad for your to breath!

I know form experience. My daughter got really bad lung infection from a situation close to yours.

Good luck, i wish i could help!!!

It would be great if clothes could wash themselves!
I have no idea about the washer, but my dryer used to be the same way. I vented it so many times in the house that my bathroom walls starting growing mildew. I called a repair man and was told that it wasn't drying because it was venting under the house. As soon as we vented it through the wall, the dryer worked fine. I hope this helps!
I don't know what part of the country you are from, but if the machines were left outside in the freezing cold it is very possible that freezing water expansion caused the pump, a hose or the water inlet valve to break. Look close at these areas. They are the points that water will remain in even after the washer pumps out.

The dryer does sound like an air flow problem. Standard 4'; venting from a dryer should be around a 12' run with two 90 degree elbows (or bends). For each elbow you add subtract 2' of run. If there was a lot of build up of lint inside the dryer then you may have a lot of build up around the shroud of your blower wheel. Also some Maytag dryers have blower wheels that will round out on the motor shaft and will usually make a rumble sound when put under stress. (load) Good Luck!
It sounds like the washer is leaking somewhere around the pump. When it starts the spin cycle it also pumps the water out. I would pull the washer out, remove the back panel and watch it to locate the leak. Could be as simple as the hose connection. On the dryer, Most all dryers are limited as to the lenght of hose that can be used. The hose should be as straight as possible, clean and as short as possible. Solid ducting is better than flex hoses. Make sure the fan is clean and the internal duct between the lint screen and fan is clear also.
    Water pump is gone
What brands of W/D? Check the fill valve on the washer. Some of the plastic parts become warped so that you may have to adjust the faucet flow(slow it down)to stop some of the splashing.Hope this helps and Good Luck! ;-)=
How large is the load? Many times if you put too much in it it will overflow from the tub leaking water all over. Try a smaller load and see what happens.

Dry tube is clogged along the way.
On the washer if no leaks can be found in the hoses then you could have a bad waterpump and also there are some hoses underneath the washer attached to the pump one could be split. If the washer pumps water ok and I assume that it is then check hoses going to the pump closely and see if they are split. On the dryer. You probably have a buildup of lint inside the fan housing. This would be a squirrel cage type of fan which can be accessed by removing the back cover of the dryer and some disasembly will be required to see the problem. It is not difficult to do these things but it can be time consuming. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
Washing machine barrel does not have a good seat agitator will be loose. dryer hose has to much of a kink in it not getting enough air flow.
