Advice about my first semester of college classes?

Sociology

English 101

History 121

Intro to Accounting (101)

Philosophy 100

Study tips, advice about learning the material, etc. I am not taking math or lab science this semester...and I am kind of worried about it but my dad said that it doesn't matter when I take it as long as I do.Advice about my first semester of college classes?
Well, if you want to take the MCAT, it matters. You should take all the basics of science before that test. Assuming that you don't want to take it anyway, don't worry about not taking a science yet. You want to be very organized, study, and never fall behind in homework. Also always try to find the best way that you can learn the materials. Be creative.Advice about my first semester of college classes?
You will be doing some math in Intro to accounting. - Accounting problems. - It depends on your professor. It would be a lot of work - homework problems, maybe project and exams.

English - it would be writing based on some readings read in class. If you have trouble with writing essays - go to your writing center on campus for help and started on the essay early after your professor tell you the assignment. You do not even want to do it went it is like 2 days close to the deadline of handing in the assignment.

Other courses like history, and philosophy - might have some writings and class discussion.

Advice about Redbud tree?

I just planted a Redbud tree and since I've never planted a tree before I could use some advice concerning pests and care tips specific to Redbuds. Also, do I need to stake it?Advice about Redbud tree?
Any young tree should be staked especially if they don't have other trees around to break some of the wind. I live on a hill and it gets quite windy.

Here is a link for you most people aren't aware that there is more than one kind.

Advice about personal loans - Advantage loans - are they legitimate?

I've applied for an unsecured loan through a UK company called Advantage Loans. They are a broker and claim that they have found a company who will guarantee to give me a loan (bank have said no as borrowed too much already but want to consolidate a few things). The only thing is they have asked me to send a cheque for 拢49.50 for their services and I'm very wary of this. They say they are registered with companies house and have a website etc but how can I find out if they are legitimate and/or has anyone had a good experience with this company. I'm worried they'll take my money and say no to the loan. Any experienced help would be great thanks!Advice about personal loans - Advantage loans - are they legitimate?
i would say be very careful with this company. check out as much as you can. get an independant company to check for you. if you can consult a solicitor. some have the first consultation free and pay after. regards | LeslieAdvice about personal loans - Advantage loans - are they legitimate?
I would apply with a company like surefire finance they are a broker but don't charge fees for unsecured loans
There are 2 types of personal loans 鈥?secured personal loans and unsecured personal loans. Secured personal loans require you to pledge any of your assets like you house to the lender as collateral. Many people choose this type of loan due to many benefits like lower interest rates, long repayment time and easy terms and conditions. But your asset is under threat if you cannot make timely payments. Your asset can be taken over by the lender and thus you lose the possession of it
Don't touch them.

All they will do is take your money and pass your details to Black Horse. (Who will charge you 40%apr)
the other thing you need to check urgently is their interest rate. it will be lots higher than banks. you can end up paying back double what you borrow. if as you say the bank has already declined it might be less painful to go to cab and get them to help you work out a budget and they can help get in contact with creditors and try to freeze interest on monies already outstanding. why end up in bigger financial trouble if you dont have to

  • I was wondering if anyone had any advice about owning a sugar glider?

I dont have one but i would really like too. I was just wondering maybe some problems you had if you have owned one, or things about how to make them live longer and be happyI was wondering if anyone had any advice about owning a sugar glider?
    Please reconsider.

Sugar gliders, while cute, are very social animals and belong in the wild. If they do not have enough attention/friends they often self-mutilate or die of loneliness.

If you want to share your life with an animal I suggest you visit your local animal shelter. While these animals are not as ';glamourous'; as a sugar glider, they are more adapted to sharing their life with humans. You will also be saving their life. In most shelters these animals are killed if no one adopts them. This is of course unnecessary but is simply the sad state of our world today. A world where animals are seen as commodities rather than the individuals that they are.I was wondering if anyone had any advice about owning a sugar glider?
Well they like to have really huge cages (like really huge like the size of those $300 large parrot cages that sit on the floor and are like 6 feet tall!!) and they like to have a friend or they'll be sad. They need fresh fruit and vegetables every single day. There's no sugar glider food at the pet store. Their cage has to be filled with TONS of toys. They need places to jump off and land so they need ledges in the cage and lots of stuff to do. It's pretty expensive owning one but they make really nice pets. I love them.
Here is some basic glider info:

Sugar gliders are very high maintenance pets. They are expensive to purchase and even more money to keep. They range from $150 and up, depending on colors. The average start up cost for a glider(cage, glider, toys, etc), is around $1000-$1500

    Temperament:

Sugar gliders are extremely active and very social animals and do not like to live alone. If you would like to own a sugar glider, plan on having more than one. A lonely sugar glider who is deprived of social interaction, will not thrive. They will become depressed and lonely, which can cause them to die. They need interaction with their owners to be happy.

Remember that they are nocturnal and are up all night and sleep all day. My gliders used to wake up at about 11pm and were up until about 7am. During the day they didn't like being bothered, imagine someone wanting you to get up and play at 3 in the morning. I am an insomniac and was up all night anyway, so I didn't mind. When I did want to sleep it was difficult, they are very noisy at night, jumping around and barking and chirping. I used to get woken up several times.

Gliders should be purchased when they are young. Older gliders are hard to tame and may never enjoy being with you.

    Bonding

Gliders must be able to be carried by you during the day in order to bond. I was lucky enough to have a job that didn't mind that I had them with me. You cannot sneak them around with you, as occasionally they will crab, or bark. They are loud barkers.

It you are not able to carry them for at least a few your a day in a bonding pouch then they may not take to you.

Even as a bonded pet, they are still not cuddly. A friendly glider is pretty much one that will not bite you and will jump from the cage to you. You're pretty much a bridge for them to get to where they really want :) They do not like being pet or held, I used to just have them jump from the cage to me and back.

    Feeding

The feeding requirements of a sugar glider are somewhat controversial. It is only recently they have been kept as pets, and needs are somewhat of a mystery. As time goes on people will learn more about the needs of these little creatures. Sugar gliders are omnivorous, meaning they will eat plant material and meat. In the wild they feed from nectar, fruit, insects and even small birds, eggs or rodents. This diet is pretty hard to replicate in captivity. People feed them a variety of foods trying to mimic their natural diet as best they can. Some people feed insects such as crickets, meal worms, wax worms, moths and spiders. The insects should be fed high quality food such as commercial cricket food, and dusted with a complete vitamin/mineral supplement. Hence their name, the sugar glider loves the taste of sugar. They like fruit cocktail. The fruit should be fed in small amounts, chopped together so the gliders can not just pick out their favorites. There are many different diets that can be fed. These diets cannot be mixed and match and must be fed according to directions. Incorrect diet can cause serious health issues. Some diets you may want to research

BML, Taronga Zoo Diet, Chicago Zoological Park Alternative Diet , Darcy's Sugar Glider Diet , Elwin's Fresh Food Diet, Priscilla Price's Sugar Glider Diet, Suncoast Glider Diet Plan, etc(there are a few more to this list)

    Cage:

A large cage, the bigger the better, should be provided with plenty of things to jump and leap off of (a minimum of 24 x 24 inches, by 36 inches high). For a sugar glider, height is more valuable than floor space. A wire cage, wire should be no more than 陆 inch wide, is best to allow the cage to breathe. A plastic tub can be placed under the cage to catch any debris that may fall out of the cage. Lots of toys should be provided as well as an exercise wheel, nest box and/or glider pouch. Branches, ropes and ladders will provide lots of opportunity for climbing and exercise. Large cage is a must, if you do not have the space or $$$ to buy an appropriate cage then do not get a glider.

    Vet care

Since gliders are exotic their veterinary care will cost more. You will need to find a sugar glider knowledgeable vet before you purchase a glider.

    Other info

Male sugar gliders have a unique smell that some people find unbearable. I used to have to clean mine daily(scrubbing cage, washing bedding, cleaning toys) to keep the smell down. The males have scent glands and they mark thier territory. Females do not have as bad a smell as males. The cage will need to be cleaned frequently, weather keeping males of females as urine has a strong odor. They usually urinate on the side of the cage, so you need to wash the entire cage, not just the bottom tray.

Also check for legality in your state. Gliders are illegal in some states and cities.

Please do as much research as possible on these guys. They are not easy to keep and require very specific care in order to thrive and be healthy.

Can you give me some advice about tattoo placement?

I have a small tattoo (about 2 inches) of a butterfly on the OUTSIDE of my right ankle. I want to get another tattoo of a giraffe that's about the same size, but I'm not sure where to put it.

I want to be able to cover it if I have to, and would like to avoid my back, stomach, shoulder, or arms. I was thinking about the INSIDE of my other ankle, but do you think that would look funny with the butterfly already on the outside of my other ankle? Can you give me some advice about tattoo placement?
you are ruling out 4 major parts of your body where there is so much room to tattoo. basically only your legs and your face are left, and possibly your neck, but i assume that youre going to count that as your back too..

i do think it'll look funny having a giraffe and butterfly around the same area...

youre being far too picky. how can you say you want to cover it but put it on your ankle? any of those 4 body parts you left out are much easier to cover than your ankle

you dont give people many options so theres not much else to sayCan you give me some advice about tattoo placement?
Maybe the upper part of your thigh can be a good space for your giraffe tattoo. It's basically covered always but you can still flaunt it when you wear a bikini.

I was diagnosed with Asperger's on Monday, and advice about the syndrome will do?

How can I make my condition less noticeable? I get anxiety attacks because of it, does anyone know how I can just try and reduce the symptoms I have so they're less noticeable and general Asperger's advice? Your advice will be much appreciated.I was diagnosed with Asperger's on Monday, and advice about the syndrome will do?
I agree with Jake L that what you do to reduce the symptoms depends on what is motivating or maintaining those symptoms. Individuals with Asperger's disorder do not have any significant language delays but they often tend to have weaknesses in their use of non-literal language. That difficulty often tends to interfere with socialization. A behavior could also be due to sensory concerns. If that is that case, we often look at replacement behaviors. A sensory need or processing difficulty cannot be just eliminated but they can be reduced and there are often more socially acceptable ways of addressing that need. In any case, a quality eveluation should have looked at what was maintaining those behaviors and symptoms (a lack of doing that in an evaluation can lead to misdiagnosis) and it should have given you quality recomnmendations. If it did not do both of those things and put all of that information into a report for you then I would suggest getting a quality evaluation that will do those things. If you did get a report with that information, then look for a psychologist or other therapist who can help you to put those recommendations into place. Otherwise, you are just shooting into the dark. Read this article for helpful information on Asperger's Disorder and how to get a quality evaluation http://www.ehow.com/how_4723735_autism-a鈥?/a> I hope this helps.I was diagnosed with Asperger's on Monday, and advice about the syndrome will do?
Are your anxiety attacks the result of sensory issues or the fear of failing socially?

If your problem is sensory issues, I really don't know how to help you - some say that alcohol or other depressents reduce these symptoms, but obviously this is not feasible on a daily basis. I would try to reduce stressors of this type in my environment (assuming you aren't already doing that), and be open about the condition to others whom you interact with often.

If your problem is social ineptitude, then I unfortunately don't have a simple solution for you. There are many sites and resources for tips in this area, but many of them are actually contradictory - I would recommend finding exactly what you need more of within yourself and then searching specifically for information in that area. (ex. eye contact)

To make it less noticeable, try watching other people to see what they do in specific situations as a means of working out a script for that situation. Again, I apologise for the assumption that you don't already do this.

Anyway, good luck, and I'll check back here to see if you add more details. =)
Behavior therapy has been shown to be strongly effective for people with Asperger's syndrome.

Any Advice about what to do for a teacher?

my brother is in algebra2 in highschool. and ever since he started school he has not had a permanant teacher. so, i was wondering if there was anything i could do to help him get a teacher? The class he is in has walked out to talk to the principal, and a number of parents called in to complain. i hate how he struggles to do a damn math problem because he doesn't have a teacher and i cant help.TO make matters worse none of the subsitutes know anything about the subject!

so what can i do?Any Advice about what to do for a teacher?
Not much you can do unless you know someone qualified to apply for the position. If he can get after school tutoring that would help. It is unfortunate when a teaching position can't be filled and a stream of substitutes are brought in to cover the class but sometimes that is the best the school can do.Any Advice about what to do for a teacher?
Find an older student who is good at maths and maybe they can teach him some things.

Don't they have groups or classes after school for people who need extra work?

I'm not a cheerleader, but I do know that most D1 colleges require than their cheerleaders have the equivalent skills of those of a level 6 gymnast at the minimum. So significant experience is usually required.

  • Can someone give me advice about going Medical School in Puerto Rico?

Well I am a pre-med student at a great university in the United States. I was always taught to never go to medical school in the caribbean, however I notice that some of the medical schools in Puerto Rico are accredited by the U.S. and are legit. I know they may not be as reputable but I'm sure many people can do just as well. I'm only asking because a lot of my family is there. Please give me some educated input. thanks. Can someone give me advice about going Medical School in Puerto Rico?

If you speak FLUENT SPANISH you may do OK but they are not going to make any special effort to teach you in AmeriKan is that is all you can talk. And knowledge medical spanish is an absolute MUST.

As desperate for medically trained people as the U.S. is... then a medical degree from P.R. is just as good as one from Grenada, so you should be OK on that.

Can anyone give me advice about working at the Hyatt as a server/room service?

I dont really have experience about working in a real kitchen and i have never worked in a hotel.I am really nervous about my screening interview. Can anyone give me advice about working at the Hyatt as a server/room service?
I used to work at a Hyatt at the front desk. I work room service quite often. Not sure if you're server or chef. If you're working in the kitchen, depending on the property, could be hectic, especially during peak season. However, it is not hectic all the time, just in spurts. If you're going in as a server, there's not much to it, it's just like normal serving, like in a full-service restaurant.

I'd say just relax, have a friendly face and go in with a real positive attitude. If you can demonstrate that you can give 100% and do it with a positive attitude, you'll get the job.

Good luck!!!Can anyone give me advice about working at the Hyatt as a server/room service?

1st off, the friend zone is a myth unless you are gay or retarded, which doesn't always work out right because some gay guys are sexay!

    2. Don't talk about your ex girlfriends or how you took the biggest crap last Saturday and have pictures to prove it. Lol... But seriously, just keep the conversation light. Don't debate politics or religion. Maybe bring up the weather, that's usually safe.

Advice about moving abroad for a year?

Me and a friend are planning to move abroad for a year, ideally to the canary islands.

To work and to do something out of the ordinary. At the time we're planning to do it, we will both be 19. which will be just over a year from now.

But to be honest, we're pretty clueless about where to start.

I know that a lot of the people going abroad for a year have jobs in tourism. Mostly cleaning the rooms, tending the bar or working in the kitchen of international hotels, sometimes also working in the smaller places in the town they go.

    what happens now?

how long will it take?Advice about mutual exchanges?
Agree on who is to be responsible for repairs during your respective stays. Who pays utilities. What if an appliance breaks? There is always an 'off limits' room for valuables etc. That must be discussed. When I did it, it took weeks, but could have gone much more quickly.Advice about mutual exchanges?
If you both agree you have to ask your respective Councils for permission, they check you do not have things like rent arrears or are going into over or under-occupancies. This is all I know in theory, I looked into it a bit but didn't find a suitable one, so don't know how long it takes. Good luck anyway.

Sorry that is not what you want to hear, but its what I have found out in three trips there.Does anybody have advice about planning a cheep Disney trip.?
    Disneyland or Disneyworld?
The best time to go to Orlando and Disney World is the first week in December. It's cool, the crowds are minimal, and hotels will practically pay you to stay.

My husband and I went for a week at that time and it was lovely. We went to priceline.com and got a really nice hotel for next to nothing. You offer your own price and they will accept or deny. Trust me, start out low. We paid about $30 per night. It wasn't a junky place either, very nice.

Most hotels offer buses into the park, you save money on parking fees. The only downside is that you are on their schedule.

It was cool, the lines weren't long, and we saved a lot of money.

I don't know how long you want to stay, but find a hotel with a small fridge and bring along your own food. Most rooms have microwaves and with the endless amount of microwave foods you can do fairly nice dinners right in your hotel room. Take snacks, bottled water, juice boxes into the park to save on their outrageous prices.

If you have any questions feel free to email me.
Avoid staying at the resorts where costs are higher.

You're going to pay alot to get in so save where you can.
We went to the one in Fla. We drove there and camped on the property at the Disney campground which was reasonable and super nice. Got multi-day tickets which were cheaper. Took snacks and water/juice in back packs. Ate breakfast and dinner at campgrounds and took advantage of all the free entertainment. Planned to only eat lunch in the parks and checked ahead of time for the most reasonable place. Gave the kids a set amount of money to buy souvenirs and refused to buy any extra.

Please I need advice about some problems with the income at home because my husband has a big problem spending?

My husband spend too much, what can I do? Sometimes we don't have money for food or something, and he can spend hundreds for his bike, is there anything I can do to prevent this problem, this has been for long time, and because I was paying too much attention to my children, work and home, I lost the focus on him, now the problem is really big, sometimes I think we will loose the house, this year he lost two cars, because of lack of payments, please somebody help me!Please I need advice about some problems with the income at home because my husband has a big problem spending?
Change whatever you can to your name only so he won't keep blowing your money whether it's credit cards, checking account, etc. Please I need advice about some problems with the income at home because my husband has a big problem spending?
he sounds like the child, not the kids. i can understand how some people who lose their jobs or can't find a job that paid as well can lose a house, but it sounds like your husband is just asking for trouble. i'd tell you to get a divorce from him, but what good is that going to do you? you need to take all his money and give him an allowance, just like the child he is acting like.

that or start looking for a sugar daddy.

Why do people fall into addictions of any kind?

Because they are missing something in their life. For men, it is usually affirmation of their masculinity. Are they ';good';? Does the man get respect in all things? This does not say that he deserves respect. Does he get respect? This is the key thing in almost every man's life - R E S P E C T !

When he spends on himself, he feels important. And this lasts until he gets the stuff home. Then the lie of the addiction takes over and he has to spend again to get that ';high';. Good luck. It's not about spending. It's about his addiction to mask the pain that he's trying to cover. He needs to find resolution about the underlying pain in his life and the addiction will go away.

This is why so many people go into addiction programs to be cured of their addiction (spending) to only move into another addiction like alcohol, drugs, gambling, sex, work or any number of other things to cover the root cause - pain.

My wife was the same way. She would bring home bags of stuff running up credit cards to the max. We had crap piled up where she would hide the merchandise. Closets were filled. Under the beds. She would look at the stuff a month later and wonder why she ever bought it and she would return it. And get more!

It was when I finally had enough of this and cut up the cards, closed out the checking accounts and put a hold on all the waste that was destroying our very lives. She would not listen to anything I said for she WOULD NOT GO TO THE PAIN and we ended up in divorce. She would not be controlled. We had a 5 bedroom home in the country with all the wonderful things that life could offer. She is now living in someone's basement working a part-time job with tons of debt and blaming me for all her woes.

Good luck. You're in for the ride of your life.

  • What is your advice about dept. store credit cards, that my signature was forged, by my own mother, at age 20.?

I am 28 years old age, my own mother signed my signature on department store credit cards. At the current time, I had been working paying off the debit the credit cards assume and a debit consoludation prgoram in 2000 that went under fraud. The company's assumed I had signed the back of the card. I am now currently enrolled in College. I would like some advice on how to proceed about anything. What is your advice about dept. store credit cards, that my signature was forged, by my own mother, at age 20.?
The only way to claim Fraud would be to file a police report against your mother. Otherwise, you are on the hook, as in their eyes you are party to the charges. What is your advice about dept. store credit cards, that my signature was forged, by my own mother, at age 20.?
Um, you basically would have to turn your mother in for credit card fraud.

She shouldn't have done that in the first place. If MY parents got a card in my name (and used it like they do theirs) I'd be absolutely FURIOUS. Luckily they just borrow money from me (by asking) instead of ruining my credit. :/

Also, I am not sure how to get there anymore but rec.gambling.poker has some really high level discussions sometimes. Or, at least they used to.
www.cardplayer.com has a lot of very good articles on the games you listed. Although you need to pay for the magazine or subscription, all the articles are free and on the website.

but to learn those games and strategy, I';d start out with some books, then play, then use the articles to help your game out...good luck.
    Is your proper name Brian?
There is no site or book that will train you to play good poker, only time at the table will help you. Books will give you a good understanding about the game and how it's played, but when you sit down at the table it is very different. All poker and flop type games and how you play your hands depends on many factors like, what is my position, what is my chip size, how many players in the hand, is the table loose or tight, am i up or am i losing so far, is the other players loose or tight, What have you been playing like (loose or tight) have you been bluffing or has your opponent bluffed you, and so on. So as you can see knowing your competition and how you and others play is key so no book or site can teach you. So just go and play, it may be painful to learn by loseing money but the knowledge you get is priceless.

I recently lost some income . I need advice about a part time job or home based business?

I need to find a good part time job, possibly working out of my home. I could devote about 5 hours a day to. I have been approached about Priemier Jewelry. Wondering if anyone has experience with that? Thanks for any input.I recently lost some income . I need advice about a part time job or home based business?
Gift baskets are a good idea and it doesn't take much to get started. However you do have buy nice products and make the basket look professional which isn't hard to do. You could offer information services about anything you have knowledge of. Think about what your skills are and what your good at. What were you doing at your last job. Is it something you could do from home such as bookkeeping, catering, copywriting, etc... Making candles is another good idea. People love candles and you can start that with minimal money. Selling jewelry I don't know maybe it could work. Although I would try to sell a product that will bring you repeat business. With gift baskets you could target corporate entities. They would come back again and again if you make really nice baskets. The products in them don't have to be expensive. But they usually give gifts for secretaries day, bosses day, admin. appreciation week, and so on. I hope some of this helps I have a million of them. If you need some ideas email me and I will give you some more ideas if none of these appeal to you.I recently lost some income . I need advice about a part time job or home based business?

Can anyone give advice about selling my home myself? For sale by owner?

I would love any free advice any one could give me about the process of selling my home on my own, and the documents required. I already have a buyer, I just need to draw up the papers which I do not want to pay someone $30000.00 to do something that is so easy. I would appreciate any PROFESSIONAL advise. Thank you!Can anyone give advice about selling my home myself? For sale by owner?
you will need to hire an escrow and title company, its cheaper than paying an agent and they will make things a lot easier for you.

Good luckCan anyone give advice about selling my home myself? For sale by owner?
For one thing it is not as easy as you make it out to be. I am a Realtor and also a Real Estate Investor. If it is so easy you would not be asking the question on here. If you have a buyer have a lawyer draw up the paperwork so that everything is processed correctly.
Go to the title company in your area. They can fill you in on the documents you need to properly complete the transfer of the property title. They have all the proper forms and for a small fee will handle the whole transaction for you.

I have sold several pieces of property and it is easy to do. Go ahead and you will save the cost of using a realtor. That's usually 6%

Please could you give me some advice about cm?

Hi, my husband and I are planning to start ttc. I came off the pill (dianette) in Jan '07. I've been taking the pre-natal vits/fc and recording my cycle in prep for trying. I have also been trying to look for signs of fertility by looking at my cm. At the moment I am due to ovulate approx. tomorrow (based on an ovulation calendar) but my cm is quite dry and not of an egg white type consistency. Does this matter and can I conceive if I don't have the stretchy fertile cm? Any sensible/sensitive advice appreciated. Thanks. Please could you give me some advice about cm?
HELLO! I WENT OFF THE PILL IN FEB. AND FOR THE LAST 2 MONTHS, I HAVE FINALLY EXPERIENCED GLOBS OF JELLYLIKE MUCUS MIDCYCLE. WHEN IT COMES, IT ONLY LASTS FOR A DAY, SO I THINK I HAVE A SHORT WINDOW FOR FERTILIZATION.I WENT OFF THE PILL A YEAR OR SO AGO FOR 4 MONTHS AND NEVER HAD THIS JELLYLIKE MUCUS.HOWEVER, I HAVE HEARD THAT YOU CAN BE OVULATING WITHOUT ACTUALLY SEEING THE MUCUS. I HAVE READ ON THIS WEBSITE ACCOUNTS OF PEOPLE NEVER HAVING THE EWCM, BUT GETTING PREGNANT. THERE IS A POSSIBLITY YOU ARE OVULATING, BUT JUST NOT SEEING THE MUCUS. PERHAPS THOUGH LIKE ME, IT JUST TAKES AWHILE FOR IT TO START SHOWING UP. GOOD LUCK!Please could you give me some advice about cm?
Get an EPT ovulation predictor. It will tell you your 2 best days to conceive.
I would guess that you are not going to ovulate yet. You have to have the egg-white consistency or your cm is actualy hostile, meaning it can be harmful to sperm. Usually ovulation does not occur without egg-white cm present. I would wait a few days, possibly try an ovulation predictor kit to see how close you are to ovulation.

That said, having sex now, and over the next few days, will allow sperm to be present when you do ovulate.

  • My dad is getting two two day old kittens and i really need some advice about raising them without their mom?

my dad is adopting two two day old kittens because the lady he knows mother cat abandoned them so we're going to take em. can any body give me some mother cat advice. ps, im only forteen but i also have a nine month old demon cat, hes a ratty fixed boy but hes also my baby. any one have any advice please. My dad is getting two two day old kittens and i really need some advice about raising them without their mom?
    Hi DareToDream,

First of all you will have to keep these babies separate from your older cat until they are old enough to deal with your ';demon'; 9 month old kitten. Do not let him into the room where you will be keeping the kittens.

I have a really good link below for you which you can share with your dad. Raising orphan kittens is a very time consuming, work intensive activity for the next 4-6 weeks. At two days of age these babies need to be fed every two hours around the clock. YUP even during the night. They also need to have their bottoms rubbed with a warm moist washcloth or cotton so they can eliminate their waste after they are fed. They are not old enough to do it on their own.

Your dad will need to get kitten milk replacement from a pet store. This is the best nutrition you can give them at this age, and you will need a kitten bottle too. Most pet stores carry them. The formula must be warmed and tested to make sure it is not too hot. A drop on the inside of your arm will be a good temperature gauge.

Get a cardboard box and line it with a sheet and some flannel. Towels can catch on the kittens' sharp little claws and injure themselves. You want to keep these kittens warm as well.

But do read this article which will give you everything you need to do. The next few weeks are going to be very busy for you and your dad. You should consider calling your veterinarian also to inquire if these kittens should be examined to make sure they are healthy to begin with. There is a reason why mother cats abandon their young. It could be that mom was too young and inexperienced but it could also mean that the kittens are not healthy.

    http://www.acfacats.com/orphan_kittens.h鈥?/a>

Good luck with them and let us know how you make out.

http://frequentlyfeline.blogspot.com/My dad is getting two two day old kittens and i really need some advice about raising them without their mom?
First off, this is not impossible yet rather challenging. They will need to be kept warm.Feed them kitten milk every two hours

amount depending on formula directions.Tis' true however you will need to wash their bottoms with warm wash cloth often after feeding as the mother usually would do this to help them potty so they don't get bound up.Do not offer any regular cow milk product as this will cause upset stomach and loose stool.Never feed the kittens if they are cold as they will have a tough time with digestion. If you choose a heating pad ..lay a towel over it and move them often always on low!Or keep water bottles filled with warm water with a towel over it with them, offer a stuffed animal for them to cuddle with to help with heat.Keep other kitten at home away from these until older and able to protect thierselves.Check gums often,if white they may not be recieving enough fluid(enemic)Should always have pink tongues.Best I can do for now,if you know someone with another mommy cat she may take two babies in...good luck
First off, talk to a veterinarian. They will know exactly what to do and will give you the BEST advice for this situation.

You need some cat milk formula, (I think baby formula might be okay, but check with a vet!!!) and you need to feed them every four hours or so.

Keep them in a very warm and soft place, away from any drafts or other animals. Heating pads under blankets or towels usually are fine. You are going to probably have to rub them some with a soft cloth to keep up circulation and help them use the restroom (think: Momma cat licking baby cat).

When they do use the restroom, wipe up their poo and pee with a soft damp cloth.

The first thing you need to do is get them in a vet's office. He/she will give you the most accurate and best advice.
you can pick up kitten milk at the vet along with bottles and the nipples. They will have to be bottle fed every 2 hours. The best formula is the powder kind. This way you can make enough for one day at a time. It can spoil pretty easy. After feeding they do need to be stimulated with a warn rag or paper towel to make the pee and poop. The mother usually does this for them but since they don't have one, your it. Ask the veternary hospital if any of the techs want to try to keep them alive and help you. It is a lot of work. Good for your dad in trying to save the lives of these little guys. I have done it a million times and it is really rewarding. You can also use goats milk and add plain yogart if fomula is not available. Good Luck.
Your big cat may play to rough with the babies. Baby kittens are a lot of work. A kitten two days old will need to be fed every 2 to 3 hours. You will need to use a warm tissue on the baby's bottom to make them eliminate. Momma kitty uses her tongue. When you bottle feed them they will need to be burped. Do this by holding them with their head up and one finger pat to the tummy till they burp. Get cat milk replacer from the store or the vet. If you get liquid milk , mix it all and freeze it in a ice cube tray and thaw out only as much as they will eat. Other wise it will spoil and get expensive. I put mine in a basket next to the bed so the night feedings are easier. Put a heating pad under one side of the basket . So when they are cold they can crawl over to it and when they are hot they can crawl off. Kittens need to be warmer than people. It takes my babies about two days to recognize my voice and tell me when they are hungry. If they spaz out while eating wrap them in a soft cloth and they won' claw you up so bad. Keep them clean and warm. Kittens need lots of attention if you watch a momma cat for the first three weeks the babies get washed and washed and washed. After you feed and burp and bottom wash try a little TLC. Some rubbing and petting as they are going back to sleep. It will make for calmer happier babies.
2 tow day old kittens, can you be raised, if mother cat abandoned them. You should go to the pet store and buy baby bottle and milk that is good for them. Most important thing, call the VET.. you will need them to help you and check up in their early age. Have a nice warm towel around them. There is a cat toy that have cat's heart beating, which would be good for them.. If you are not sure, better surrender to the animal care control, who can find foster family for them. good luck!
get some pet bottles and cat milk formula, mix according to directions

keep babies warm and dry, feed approx every 4 hours

after every feeding you will need to make the babies go potty

get an old wash cloth, rinse under real warm water and wring it out, then wipe the babies bottoms (both doodoo %26amp; peepee)

until they go, if you don't get them to go they will die, you must do this every time you feed them

this is not an easy job, we just finished up raising 6

    good luck
Lots of good advice. I've never raised them that young so I defer to others, but I definitely want to reinforce one of the comments: You absolutely MUST keep them away from your male cat!

I wouldn't even open the door to the room they're in unless I was sure he was secured elsewhere.
they need to be bottle fed - but bottles will be way to big for their mouths. so they actually will need to be fed with a little dropper. i'd bring them to the vet ASAP so the vet can tell you how to do it and what kind of cat formula to buy. and they will need to be held and cuddled pretty much 24 hours a day.
You have a tremendous challenge, if they indeed are that young. You can expect a lot of work, and a lot of heartbreak. I have posted a link, and consult the section on orphan kittens. Good luck, as if successful, hand raised cats are tremendous pets.
u should feed it through a bottle (milk) until it is about it is about 8 weeks old
Two days old ! No chance they will surely die. Two weeks just maybe.
A lot of good advice on here, already.....but haven't seen this mentioned.

If you have a Petsmart nearby, go and get a ';Top Paws Mothering Kit';. This is a Petsmart product, so I'm not sure if you can find the same thing anywhere else.

This kit has a refillable syringe and 3 ';elongated'; silicone ';teats';. They're just PERFECT to fit in the mouth of the newborns....unlike the nipples that usually come with the ';pet bottle';.

I raised many kittens using these kits.....never lost one, after I discovered the elongaged teats, etc. The kittens took right to them and would suck the syriinge dry in no time. As they got bigger, I had to feed them more than one syringe!

If I remember correctly, we got to 3 full syringes every feeding, before they got old enough to eat from a bowl!! Feeding 7 kittens like that, every few hours, took quite awhile! It seemed that I no sooner got through with one feeding, it was time for another!

Who's going to take care of feeding the kittens while you're in school??? They'll need to be fed at least 3 times during that time!!

So, along with the other advice (warmth, ';bottom'; cleaning, etc), try to find this EXTREMELY HELPFUL TOOL.

You're in for a lot of work, but if everything works out, you'll be the ';proud mama'; of a couple of healthy kittens.

BTW.........keep ';demon cat'; away from the kittens for a few weeks. At least til they get their eyes open, and even then, YOU need to be in the room with them!

    Hope all goes well..............enjoy.
if people say they wont survive then there wrong.i raised 3 3 day old kittens when i was 13(im 14 now) and they survive, with the proper care they will be fine.

    heres some tips

just make sare to keep them nice cozy and warm.lots of blankets under them.and get a hot water bottle and place a blanket on top of it so its not to hot and put the kitten on top.and get a clock and put that under a blanket this reminds them of thier mothers hart beat so they are more relaxed.do not put the blanket over them just under.

dont lift them too much for a few days.you can lift them but i mean not being rough or lifting them up and putting them down and up and down and up and down lol.and pet them very gentle to keep them warm.

a mother cat licks them down below so they can go to the toilet.so after they eat get a moist cotton bud and rub them down there so they go potty lol

keep everything clean.wash your hands before and after touching them.and wash thier blankets at least once a day and if you can twice a day one at night and one in the morning.have more than two blankets so when one is in the wash the other one can be over them.

put a teddy or something warm and cosy that they can cuddle up to in thier bed.and keep thier bed smallish so its nice and cosy.MAKE SURE ITS NOT TO WARM.

now the hardest part the feeding.well see what we did with our kittens is get normal milk and heat it up.place in a sirange and force into the mouth.put the vets and all them people out there say to get a special milk and put it in a sirrange.i think you should go to the vet and ask him this before you get the kittens.or even call him.i think the milk that vets will tell you to use is best.if your vet isnt the best and you do not trust him look it up on the internet but make sure its a SITE YOU CAN TRUST.

and i think thats all i can think of at the moment.you can email me for more information or questions oh and let me no how they are getting on.

    michellexgix@hotmail.com

EDIT:::::::::::::lots of people on here are teling you to feed them every 2 hours and 1 person said every 4 hours.well the mother cat that i have here with her 4 kittens she feeds them every 20 minutes or so so i say every hour to two hours even during the night.ill get a website that i can trust that has the formula for the kitty food just 2 seconds.

EDIT:this is the formula to the milk

    http://cats.about.com/cs/kittencare/a/ki鈥?/a>

and this is how to feed them

    http://cats.about.com/cs/kittencare/ht/b鈥?/a>

remember they have tiny bellys so if you feed large amounts at a time every 4 hours thats bad for them just feed as much as they want every 1 hours to 2 hours.

It sounds like you're been scammed. You might check with Consumer Credit Counsellling - as far as I know, they are actually an honest place for debt help.

    Good luck.
Contact Consumer Credit Counseling Services, they are the oldest credit counseling service in the Country and are non-profit.

I used them several years ago and they lowered my monthly payments as well as my interest rate and I was debt free in 36-months.

You can contact them at 1-800-388-2227.
i would cut my losses and run and tell them that your law firm of ';shallwe, cheatum and howe'; will be contracted them and also you are going spread the word far and wide of how they dupe you. look you can do it on your own with time and hard work -- good luck.

Need some advice about a potential job?

I put in an application at a store %26amp; a few days later I called back, the manager said he'd set up an interview with me but I'd have to call him back later or come into the store and meet him first. Should I just call back today or tomorrow or what?Need some advice about a potential job?
On Monday morning, go to the store with a positive mindset and make a good impression. Let the manager know that you are a hard worker and will get the job done. Most managers will not get annoyed with prospective employees if they really need to hire someone. You'll do fine. Don't worry about it.Need some advice about a potential job?
Put on your very best clothes and go see him Monday morning. Don't be shy. Be assertive. Show this guy that you are serious about wanting to work there. Good luck to you. I hope you get the job.
I will agree with the above reply: personal visits, in your best attire, will work better than calling. You will get an answer right then and there, and if you do not, you will be able to tell from his or her body language, what your chances are.

Since its winter time make sure you cover their cage when its time for sleep because they get cold too..make sure you do it every night tho so they get used to it. Mine was scared at first, I guess the previous owner didn't cover them.. so what i did was cover them half way and leave a light on through out the night and i made sure that they were on the wooden thingy instead of hanging on the cage.. what you can do is if their hanging once you cover the cage on the outside touch their feet and keep touching them eventually they'll get down.

    GOOD LUCK HUN!

    Arthritis treatment using Potato Juice

The raw potato juice therapy is considered one of the most successful biological treatments for rheumatic and arthritic conditions. It has been used in folk medicine for centuries. The traditional method of preparing potato juice is to cut a medium-sized potato into thin slices, without peeling the skin, and place the slices overnight in a large glass filled with cold water. The water should be drunk in the morning on an empty stomach. Fresh juice can also be extracted from potatoes. A medium-sized potato should be diluted with a cup of water and drunk first thing in the morning.

Arthritis treatment using Other Raw Juices

One cup of green juice, extracted from any green leafy vegetable, mixed in equal proportions with carrot, celery, and red beet juices is good for arthritis. The alkaline action of raw juices dissolves the accumulation of deposits around the joints and in other tissues. A cup of fresh pineapple juice is also valuable, as the enzyme bromelain in fresh pineapple juice reduces swelling and inflammation in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

    Arthritis treatment using Sesame Seeds

A teaspoon of black sesame seeds, soaked in a quarter cup of water and kept overnight, has been found to be effective in preventing frequent joint pains. The water in which the seeds are soaked should also be taken along with the seeds first thing in the morning.

    Arthritis treatment using Copper

Drinking water kept overnight in a copper container accumulates traces of copper, which is said to strengthen the muscular system. A copper ring or bracelet is worn for the same reason.

    Arthritis treatment using Calcium

Studies have shown that calcium can help arthritis. Several patients have discovered that joint pains have either been relieved or have disappeared entirely after taking calcium. This mineral should be taken in the form of calcium lactate. Two teaspoons of calcium lactate, each teaspoon providing 400 mg of absorbable calcium, may be taken three times daily in water, before meals for at least four months.

    Arthritis treatment using Garlic

Garlic is another effective remedy for arthritis. It contains an anti-inflammatory property which accounts for its effectiveness in the treatment of this disease. Garlic may be taken raw or cooked according to individual preference.

    Arthritis treatment using Bananas

Bananas, being a rich source of vitamin B6, have proved useful in the treatment of arthritis. A diet of only bananas for three or four days is advised in treating this condition. The patient may eat eight or nine bananas daily during this period and nothing else.

    Arthritis treatment using Lime

Lime has also been found beneficial as a home remedy for arthritis. The citric acid found in lime is a solvent of uric acid which is the primary cause of some types of arthritis. The juice of one lime, diluted with water, may be taken once a day, preferably first thing in the morning.

    Arthritis treatment using Alfalfa

A tea made from the herb alfalfa, especially from its seeds, has shown beneficial results in the treatment of arthritis. One teaspoon of alfalfa seeds may be added to one cup of water. Three to four cups of this tea should be taken daily by arthritics for at least two weeks.

Arthritis treatment using Green Gram Soup

Another home remedy found useful in relieving pains in the joints is the use of green gram soup. This soup should be prepared by mixing a tablespoon of green gram in a cup of water, with two crushed garlic cloves. It should be taken twice a day.

    Arthritis treatment using Castor Oil

Treatment with castor oil has been found beneficial in arthritis. The procedure, as prescribed by a Spanish doctor, is to boil two tablespoons of castor oil over a stove burner. The oil should then be poured into a glass of fresh orange juice and taken before breakfast daily till the disease is cured. It was advised to patients to take it for three weeks, wait for another three weeks and then repeat it again for another three weeks. It is, however, essential that the patient must take an alkaline diet while adopting this mode of treatment otherwise the value of the treatment will be lost.

Arthritis treatment using Coconut or Mustard Oil

Warm coconut oil or mustard oil, mixed with two or three pieces of camphor should be massaged on stiff and aching joints. It will increase blood supply, and reduce inflammation and stiffness with the gentle warmth produced while massaging. Camphorated oil is an ancient rubefacient used for the purpose.Has anyone got some good advice about natural remedies for arthritis?
It is so important to adjust you diet in a situation like this. Work on trying to balance you pH which helps to ensure proper mineral nutriture. Eat more fresh, raw vegetables and fruits. Limit or avoid meat, dairy, coffee, soft drinks, processed grains and processed sugar. Some great herbs and foods would be Boswella, Japanese Coral Minerals, Yucca, White Willow, Horsetail Grass, Hyssop, French Maritime Pine Bark, and Turmeric. Seek out exquisitely well grown and toxin free nutrients in vegetable capsule with no toxic ';other ingredients';. If would benefit you to see a practitioner that can work with you to develop a personalized program. Hope this helps. Best of health to you!

What's the issue? If you can juggle them both, by all means, start doing some networking. You may one day be able to shed working for ';the man'; altogether, and be your own boss. The area really doesn't matter, as long as there is a strong clientele with money to spend and a desire to learn. Professionals are the way to go.

Details regarding any consultant who help in migrating to australia or company which grants sponsership working in australia. He is a sales professional form India with more than 6 years of experience in Telecom Sales. My friend who is working as sales professional is planning to shift to australia.can anybody advice about it?
Work visas for Australia are very difficult to get.

His first step should be to visit the Australian immigration website and see if he qualifies for skilled immigration. His job must be on the Skilled Occupations List (SOL); he must be suitably qualified (a degree is needed plus experience); he must pass a points test unless he can get regional sponsorship (and that will be difficult in his line of work); he must meet English language requirements; he must meet health and character requirements. If he falls short on any of the above, no consultant or migration agent will be able to help him. The requirements are absolute and there is no way around any of them.

Here are some links that should help:

keep it simple. use the BRAT formula. bananas, rice, applesauce, toast.

Can you give some advice about an application that I'm working on?

I'm filling out an application for Starbucks and theres a question that ask ';Why would you like to work for Starbucks Coffee Company?'; What could I say that wouldn't sound feigned or cheesy? Can you give some advice about an application that I'm working on?
I would enjoy working with the public in a fast-paced environment.

Why do people post a question for advice about their horrible relationship then?

two seconds later you see them giving advice to someone else? Might be a silly question but its true:)Why do people post a question for advice about their horrible relationship then?
LOL well I have to answer so I have enough points to ask my questions!

Also, I can give advice. Just because my relationship eventually ended after 2 years doesn't mean I don't know about working through problems or dating etiquette, or can tell who's a bad person and who isn't. 2 years was pretty successful and we knew when to call it a day and even though I'm upset I learnt a lot. Most notably, I learnt what I would and wouldn't find acceptable. When I see questions from people and they are still in a relationship that is 10 times worse than my one that ended, I have a pretty good perspective on what to tell them!

It's easy to give clear advice when you have an outsider's perspective and more or less impartial view of the situation. Why do people post a question for advice about their horrible relationship then?
Maybe because they have life experience , and they share, do you think that if you need advice at some point in your life then you have nothing to give anymore? Sometimes when you are in a situation it is hard to stand back and judge without a bias, but looking at someone else's problem you are able to advise. From your question I guess you think that if you have a relationship problem then you are somehow a failiure at relationships full stop, it just isn't like that, people can get into situations that are not their fault.

people help each other when needed, no matter what their circumstances. Thats where the phrase 'give and take' applies , most kids learn it.
Well, I do this, and feel totally justified!

Just because I ask for advice on my idiot ex, does not mean that I have no right to try and help others. In fact, my experiences with my ex (since Feb 2009) have taught me so much, that I now answer on this section every day, and have a good reputation/lots of points/best answers.

You should be more concerned about people who have no idea about the very issues on which they are advising! It may be well-intended but you get a lot of teenagers replying to marriage questions, saying things like ';oh well IDK'; (which I assume means ';I don't know'; in teen-speak).

Most of the top contributors in marriage and divorce often state they have gone through being cheated on, and horrible divorces, should they stop answering then?
Because when u are in a relationship its difficult to see the obvious maybe judgement is clouded cos u are madly in love.

What maybe obvious to an outsider is something someone in a relationship just can't see.

Sometimes u are genuinely confused between ur heart and brain and advice helps.

Sometimes u know what u are doing is bad for u but you'll ask a question to get sympathy or the strength to do the right thing.

I must admit I am gully of asking relationship advice on yahoo answers - i am CLUELESS about what i should do. But i like giving advice as I've learnt lots of things the hard way.
I find that interesting as well. If your relationship sucks and you are asking how to fix it or what to do, then how can you give someone else advice on their own realtionship that sucks? It's like Stevie Wonder trying to help Ray Charles (if he was alive) get across a busy highway.
Because sometimes, it's easier to ask a complete stanger, who is byass on the situation.....thre may be children involved, and they want to save tier relationship. Perhaps they could try counceling.
I agree with Marcia. Things are a lot clearer from an outsiders perspective. Plus...just because someone is having problems with certain types of relational issues doesn't mean they don't have good advice for others going through something else.
because they are asking for help in their situation. That does not mean they cant give advice to someone else. Thats how it works, people try to answer each others questions.
Because that is the way it is done.
uuff people. i call it ';cyper issues';.

I need advice about my off and on relationship?

Why do I torture myself with a relationship that is an emotional rollercoaster?

We are constantly breaking up and hurting each other and then getting back together.

We are obviously madly in love because we can't just let each other go.

But I feel like over the last few months my heart has just slowly been letting go. And he has his guard up and with my heart not being fully into it and with him guarding his heart...

How can we make it work?

How do we get the spark back in our relationship and how can we forget everything we've been through and move on?I need advice about my off and on relationship?
You both need to sit down and figure out what you are doing wrong. Obviously what causes most relationship strain is not understanding each other.....this takes time and it depends solely on how long you have been together...if its been so long, the chances of you both still figuring each other out are slim...possible but slim. There's still something btw you too which is why either of you cant let go.

How do you figure out what you are doing wrong?

well ...you sit him down and ask him ..what he wants from this relationship and let him ask you whatever is mind boggling him with the relationship as well..and you two start doing those things ...its a good start

Breakin up is not an option ..it makes matters worse especially if there are still some mutual feelings.....hope that helps. Take things one at a timeI need advice about my off and on relationship?
Have you considered a distinguished older gentleman with a good job and an excellent credit rating?

Okay - just kidding, but I think you've had enough of my advice! Don't want to use that word ';toxic'; again.

Need serious advice about a new concept in business鈥?

I live in India and I am working for a company which provides online tuitions to students of USA.

Company is planning to start Online Teaching of Indian Languages. We are targeting Non Resident Indians who are poor in their native language. For example, if an Indian guy is born and bought up in USA and he is not so PRO in Hindi language, he can book sessions with us and learn Hindi. In this new concept, people will book sessions in advance, qualified tutors will teach them language by using Skype and Web Camera (Audio+Video).

I want your opinion. Do you think people will pay to learn their native language? During my trips in various countries I have noticed that so many people want their kids to learn native language but will they like to pay to learn it?

Serious replies please鈥︹€?Need serious advice about a new concept in business鈥?
It doesn't seem unreasonable, but I'm skeptical of it being heavily used.

For Indians in the United States, the money to be made is not with learning Hindi, but the accent reduction and Americanization skills that are used in the call centers in India.

Still, there are always movements (particularly in parents educating their children) to preserve one's home culture, so I do see some market for your plan. It might be wise to prepare in advance for tutors and materials geared for children aged 5-15 years.

Another possible market is to educate business professionals who have little or no ability to speak Hindi.

If it's possible, you should begin future plans to offer instruction in other languages using this technology. Punjab, Mandarin, Japanese, and a European language or two (hmmm...even English!) might be a good future expansion.Need serious advice about a new concept in business鈥?
I believe people will pay for just about anything if it is marketed correctly. The ability to speak more than one language in today's global society is a real plus. Also the way India is becoming more and more of a part of today's global business it is an excellent idea. I would not limit your services to people with an Indian decent. Like I mentioned before business has become global and perhaps people of non-Indian decent could really take advantage of the opportunity also. As far as people paying to have their children learn either a second language or ';native'; language that too has many positive affects. Learning another language expands the mind and encourages more learning.

  • Can you give me some advice about becoming a news anchor?

This is my first year in college and I am taking my general and getting my AA in communications with television and involved with our broadcasting show. But can you give me some advice to get ahead even moreCan you give me some advice about becoming a news anchor?
Don't say you want to be an anchor. Start off by saying you want to be a reporter first and learn the trade. We hate when interns come in and say they want to anchor. We roll our eyes and joke about how every kid wants be an anchor. Make sure your degree is in journalism. Get several internships and listen and learn. Be nice to people and go above and beyond. You also have to prepare yourself to work in small market television for the first few years making next to nothing. Start educating yourself on the business of television. Start reading articles and learning the lingo. A great website to start looking at for example would be tvspy.com. Subscribe to shoptalk on this website. These are just some ideas for you. Please be aware the burnout rate for this career is VERY high! Don't let people tell you how great and glamorous this career is. It's got it's good points but it also has several bad points. Believe me. I know. The competition is steep and like about 80% of the people who want this career, by the time you hit age 35 your going to be looking for a different way to make a living. Good luck! Can you give me some advice about becoming a news anchor?
Do some print work for your college newspaper. That way you will have developed some talent besides being a news reader. That's what an anchor is. Someone who belongs to the same trade union as Jay Leno and David Letterman, the American Federation of Television and Radio Artist (AFTRA).

First, learn to be a good reporter. Not a ';journalist';. Follow always the first rule of good reporting:

';If your mother says she loves you, check it out!';.
I'd suggest doing an internship at your local television station. Nothing beats on-the-job training for figuring out if that is really what you want to do, and, more importantly, making contacts and mentors. I wish when I was getting MY AA that someone had advised me of a television or radio internship. I would have been spared money, time and huge effort.

Advice about awesome colors to paint my room?

I have 4 walls in my room. I want to do 2 colors and alternate walls with each color. I really want to do something with brown because I really like coffee and I have some things to hang on the brown walls that are in that color pallete. I was also thinking about doing the other 2 walls a light shade of bright blue. What do you think? What other suggestions do you have? Should I go with a chocolate shade of brownAdvice about awesome colors to paint my room?
My opinion is to paint only 1 wall the odd color.. (the wall your head board in on) and to paint 3 walls a brown. A dk caramel would be very pretty. Browns will compliment most colors well.... so the blues would be great!

Have fun painting and decorating!!Advice about awesome colors to paint my room?
Chocolate brown and a light blue are definetly trendy colors in interior design right now. Alternating colors might make it hard for your eye to focus and will be too much for a room with only 4 walls. I would consider painting the all of the walls chocolate brown, and then do vertical or horizontal stripes with the light blue, whatever width you'd like. It'll definetly bring the two colors together without being too much. Consider looking at Domino or Elle Decor magazines for pictures to mimic.
You should go shopping for something to use as inspiration, that has all the colors you want, like a pillow, rug, or curtains, and use that to paint your wall and as a guide for everything else in your room. My sister has watermelon-themed walls and it came out great! Good luck to you!
    Hmm....

Well, I think you should have two walls brown and then the other two sponge paint blue. It would really look cool...My sister did it except with like darker pink and lighter pink. Or you can do 2 brown walls and 2 sponge painted pink walls. Those look really cute together. If you visit a store like Joann's Fabrics or Michael's craft store...you can purchase different colors of fabrics by the yard and drape it along the top of your windows. That would look very cute!!! Good Luck.

    %26lt;3 Kelsey
How about cream or like an antique white? Brilliant and dark colors have a tendicy to make the room look smaller. Also, brown/coffee is considered a warm color and light blue would be considered a cool color. So I'm not sure if the contrast would work - your colors may appear muddy beside each other. Of course, it's your room and totally up to you, but if it were me I'd at least stay in the warm or cool colors, not both. Cream or antique white would still be in the warm colors.

    Good luck!
kool! that is a really interesting idea! if you use a lighter brown, you want a brighter blue, and a chocolate shade would be fine but you would want a bold blue to go with it! IT SHOULD LOOK GREAT! ((:
I think light brite blue and brown is a great scheme. However they are going to fight each other for focus in the room if you alternate them. think about painting the ceiling brown. and/or 1 wall brown. good luck!

I am not sure if you have this service or not but on the Internet you can find this company called Service Magic and they send you a list of Companies in your area that do the work you are looking for the list also comes with references of others who have used the company so that you get the best type of feedback before you hire. What they do is cut a hole in your vent in the basement and suck out the dirt with a large vacuum. You will be grossed out when you see the mess that are sitting in your vents. you only have 4 or 5 years of high school, so if i were you, i wouldn't let it ruin the relationship. if you've been together for 3 years now, things are obviously going strong, so it's not like this could destroy your relationship. i'd let her enjoy it for all it's worth, because it's the last year of high school she'll ever have.I need some advice about my relationship?
it's hard to say when ure just guessing...and now im guessing..

well she ';might'; have a lots of reasons so get so busy abt her last year..

but u know her better. if she really loves u, than she might be ';prefering'; (not literally) her last year over ur relation maybe cause u two are going through a kind of crisis right now..

she might be taking it as her...eumm..window out and source of satisfaction..

and man..3 YEARS!!! that's huge!! i would say talk to her abt it...if i were u..

and boyfriend and i have been together 2 years..

and its happened with me..getting excited abt things apparently and maybe uncounsciously more than our relation..that's because we were going through a lot and needed a break out..and sometimes my break out was fighting with high tension and breaking up..

so man, ure lucky if its only skhool..just talk to her abt it and it'll get fixed :)

    Have a great time !
Get the Sydney 7 day pass card. It is pretty cheep and gets you in a LOT of things. It also gives you a GREAT book that tells you where everything is. It also tells you whats in the same area so you can spend each day in a new area and get everything done. It saved my husband and I well over 500.00 dollars. Also, it gives you free tanspertain the whole 7 days. That means you take take the train or bus or fairy anytime you want. Rather you are going to a place to use your card or not. Its very nice to have.
