Advice about awesome colors to paint my room?

I have 4 walls in my room. I want to do 2 colors and alternate walls with each color. I really want to do something with brown because I really like coffee and I have some things to hang on the brown walls that are in that color pallete. I was also thinking about doing the other 2 walls a light shade of bright blue. What do you think? What other suggestions do you have? Should I go with a chocolate shade of brownAdvice about awesome colors to paint my room?
My opinion is to paint only 1 wall the odd color.. (the wall your head board in on) and to paint 3 walls a brown. A dk caramel would be very pretty. Browns will compliment most colors well.... so the blues would be great!

Chocolate brown and a light blue are definetly trendy colors in interior design right now. Alternating colors might make it hard for your eye to focus and will be too much for a room with only 4 walls. I would consider painting the all of the walls chocolate brown, and then do vertical or horizontal stripes with the light blue, whatever width you'd like. It'll definetly bring the two colors together without being too much. Consider looking at Domino or Elle Decor magazines for pictures to mimic.
You should go shopping for something to use as inspiration, that has all the colors you want, like a pillow, rug, or curtains, and use that to paint your wall and as a guide for everything else in your room. My sister has watermelon-themed walls and it came out great! Good luck to you!
Hmm....

Well, I think you should have two walls brown and then the other two sponge paint blue. It would really look cool...My sister did it except with like darker pink and lighter pink. Or you can do 2 brown walls and 2 sponge painted pink walls. Those look really cute together. If you visit a store like Joann's Fabrics or Michael's craft store...you can purchase different colors of fabrics by the yard and drape it along the top of your windows. That would look very cute!!! Good Luck.

How about cream or like an antique white? Brilliant and dark colors have a tendicy to make the room look smaller. Also, brown/coffee is considered a warm color and light blue would be considered a cool color. So I'm not sure if the contrast would work - your colors may appear muddy beside each other. Of course, it's your room and totally up to you, but if it were me I'd at least stay in the warm or cool colors, not both. Cream or antique white would still be in the warm colors.

Good luck!
kool! that is a really interesting idea! if you use a lighter brown, you want a brighter blue, and a chocolate shade would be fine but you would want a bold blue to go with it! IT SHOULD LOOK GREAT! ((:
I think light brite blue and brown is a great scheme. However they are going to fight each other for focus in the room if you alternate them. think about painting the ceiling brown. and/or 1 wall brown. good luck!
