Advice about an indoor palm tree please?

i got some indoor palm tree seeds from menorca, i'd like to plant them for this summer.


The instructions on the back of the pack says: sew some 5cm deep in well prepared and well drained soil. Soak 24 hours before planting.


Does this mean to soak the soil or the seeds for 24 hours?

They mean to soak the seeds for 24 hours,as it gives the seeds a jump start. If any of the seeds float to the top, discard them, as they will not germinate.
