Sixth grade for me was terrible. Just remember... be sociable and talk to people once in a while, or they'll tease you about it like they teased me.
If you see girls in the hallways with their ';boyfriends'; and you get jealous, just laugh to yourself. It's not important to date at 11 years old. Dating in the sixth grade is like dating in kindergarten -- nothing happens, and there's no point to it. Save it for high school.
Find your real friends, even if it takes months. Don't try faking to fit in with a certain group. It's important to have friends, but don't go crazy trying to have as many as you can. Popularity is nothing but a self-esteem crusher.
Show-off your talents. If you like singing/acting, join the school play. If you like drawing/painting, join an art club. You'll excel in your skills and meet other people with the same interests.
Enjoy being a kid while you still are. Don't try to fit in with the ';in crowd'; and don't do anything you're uncomfortable with. As long as you're happy with who you are, you do what you're supposed to do without lip, and as long as you have real, decent friends, you'll do perfectly fine.Can someone give me advice about starting middle school?
middle school is awesome. The really big difference is that you gain a bit more control over your life, and have a lot more opportunities to learn about who you are growing up to be and what you are good at. Choose classes that you like, pick friends that you have fun with.
Middle school teaches you how to be a good citizen above all other things. Learn that and you can do whatever you dream in life. (Chances are you don't know all that you will want to do, but develop good habits now you will thank yourself later)
I just got done with middle school. Just don't be one of those kids who think ';oh wow i'm in middle school now, I must be cool';. NO. Don't think your all awsome and whatever, cuz you're still just a kid, so....yeah, that's pretty much it. :) have fun, middle school is so boring.
Just relax and be yourself, everything will be fine, you'll love it :)
it ain't a big deal. It's pretty much the same as 5th grade. High school is when it starts getting different.
