Are there any websites giving impartial advice about selling your home?

Does anyone know of any websites which will give you the lowdown on selling your house, for example, what is the standard amount charged by estate agents for selling your house? Are there any websites giving impartial advice about selling your home?
You seem to be in the UK.

Estate Agents generally charge similar rates in different areas (I guess some sort of price fixing goes on). I have just sold in Cambridge where I paid .85% commission (I was quoted .75% by another) and my partner is selling in Northants where he is paying 1.75% (although some charge 2% and none goes under 1.5%). If you ring round several agents, they will tell you what they charge.

Similarly with solicitors, ring round to see what they charge for selling a house at your price. Are there any websites giving impartial advice about selling your home?
The standard amount is 6% total - 3% to the sellers agent, 3% to the buyers agent. But, that is negotiable. If you are going to slightly underprice it for a quick sale, they may be willing to go 4 or 5% because they will have less advertising/work in selling it.

Impartial website, not part of an agency's website.
