Need some advice about LVN to RN programs?

I recently received my LPN license....I am planning to continue to RN education but I don't have a job experience as an LVN. Is job experience a requirement for the bridge program LVN to ADN? If so, what are my other options in order to continue to RN program and how long would it take me to finish the course? Thanks.

Each program is different. Most programs that require job experience are ones that allow you challenge some of the first RN classes and may not have as much clinical hours.

There maybe additional psych, statistics, microbiology and other courses that you probably didn't need as a LVN.

Most bridging options for ADN are an additional year to 2yrs depending on whether they offer summer classes. To bridge to a BSN, will be 2-3 years because the additional university degree requirements.

Requirements for admission differ from school to school. Ours offers a fast track LPN to RN. You have to have completed the academic requirements for RN first. (Your academics for LPN should've been about the same, as long as it's an accredited school and the credits will transfer). Then, they look at the nursing program from where you came and decide what (if any) of those classes will transfer to their nursing program. You then have to take all the RN level courses. If that is all you have to take, our fast track program lasts one year to 15 months.

Hope that helps.
The program will let you know what additional classes you'll need but I don't think experience is necessary. Most people I know that are RNs just entered into that program without any experience or college courses.
