Absoultely anything. like, can they live on there own, can they fly, types of housing etc?Has anyone got any advice about indian runner ducks?
Hi Kitty,
I have ducks including runners there are nine in total. Runners are comical to look at but gorgeous ducks.
Most domestic ducks have lost the ability to fly has most of them are literally to heavy. My runners can fly a little up the garden but they don't really try to be fair.
I would never let any duck live by its self they are very sociable creatures and need to be with their own kind.
My ducks have a paddling pool which is cleaned and refilled every morning. Believe it or not ducks can catch germs from dirty water so keep them clean.
They have fresh food and fresh drinking water every day with spinach leaves and steamed greens carrots and potatoes (still warm in the evening )they love it
My ducks are out all day and then fetched in to a large aviary at night to keep them safe but a duck house or hen house is just as good.
Enjoy xxHas anyone got any advice about indian runner ducks?
The care of Indian Runner Ducks is no different than other domestic duck. I suggest the Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks. Click the link in the source.
i have had a pet indian runner they are so funny ! ( and fast to ) you probably need to get at least 2 ducks ( i had three ) and yes thay can fly.
